VETTRI Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2026, held in the august presence of Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and Selvi S. Keerthana, Hon'ble Minister for Industries, Investment Promotion & Commerce, TIDCO marked two significant milestones that reinforce Tamil Nadu's vision of becoming a global hub for advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies.

We were excited to exchange the MoU with Bosch Global Software Technologies for the establishment of the TIDCO–Bosch Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence. The Centre will position Tamil Nadu as a national leader in industrial cybersecurity by strengthening the cyber resilience of the State's manufacturing ecosystem while supporting industries, MSMEs, startups, academia and Government through advanced research, testing, skilling and innovation.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister also inaugurated Chennai Aerospace Park Limited (CAPL) AeroHub, a world-class aerospace and defence facility developed by TIDCO and TIDEL Park. The AeroHub will strengthen Tamil Nadu's capabilities in aerospace engineering, advanced manufacturing, avionics, prototyping and defence technologies, further reinforcing the State's position as a preferred destination for high-value industrial investments.

These milestones reflect TIDCO's continued commitment to creating world-class industrial infrastructure, fostering strategic partnerships with global technology leaders, and building a future-ready innovation ecosystem that drives investment, employment and sustainable economic growth in Tamil Nadu.

TIDCO at India Education Services Exports 2030
TIDCO team participated in the International Conference on “India Education Services Exports 2030”, organised by the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, on 11 August 2026 in New Delhi.

The conference brought together several international and Indian universities, embassies, think tanks and higher education-sector experts to explore opportunities to position India as a global hub for higher education, skills, research and innovation.
Shri Rajesh Agarwal, IAS, Commerce Secretary, delivered the keynote address, emphasising the need to position and promote higher education ecosystems that perform strongly in internationalisation, industry collaboration and technology adoption.

The discussions reinforced the importance of building globally competitive education ecosystems that integrate internationalisation, industry collaboration, technology and innovation.

TIDCO presented the vision of Tamil Nadu Knowledge City (TKC) to key stakeholders, positioning its strong higher education–industry–research linkages, technology adoption and innovation focus as a potential model for a globally connected education ecosystem.

Strengthening Aerospace & Defence Partnerships between Tamil Nadu and Ontario, Canada 🚀

TIDCO hosted the Government of Ontario delegation for a productive discussion on advancing Aerospace & Defence collaboration between Tamil Nadu and Ontario, focusing on resilient supply chains, industrial partnerships, and opportunities in manufacturing, innovation, and technology.

Wg Cdr P. Madhusoodhanan (Retd.), VP – Aerospace & Defence, TIDCO, presented Tamil Nadu's Aerospace & Defence ecosystem, highlighting the long-standing Tamil Nadu–Canada ties and opportunities in aerospace manufacturing, precision engineering, defence electronics, MRO, drones, space tech, and advanced manufacturing.

Mr. Haranjan Singh, Diplomat, Canadian Consulate Mumbai, representing Ontario, noted Canada's interest in diversifying global supply chains, with Tamil Nadu seen as a trusted partner for industrial and technology cooperation.

Shri Waghe Sanket Balwant, IAS, Executive Director, TIDCO, reaffirmed Tamil Nadu's commitment to enabling investments, citing its strong industrial ecosystem, policy framework, dedicated Aerospace & Defence Industrial Corridor, skilled talent, and investor-friendly governance.

TIDCO at the CII Chennai Finnovation Summit 2026 🚀

TIDCO participated as a Sponsor at the CII Chennai Finnovation Summit 2026, held on 6 August at Hotel Pullman, Chennai, bringing together leaders from Fintech, Banking and Financial Services.

The occasion was graced by Ms. Pooja Kulkarni IAS, CEO, TNIDB & Special Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, as Chief Guest, along with industry and financial innovation leaders.

Key discussions focused on:

🇮🇳 TAMIL NADU AT SES 2026 ✈️🛰️

TIDCO participated as the Associate Partner State at the 15th Strategic Electronics Summit (SES) 2026, held on 23–24 July 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru.

At our pavilion (C19–C20, Hall 2), TIDCO showcased the capabilities of Defence Testing Facilities (DTIS projects) viz. EWDTF, LENS, ADART and STREAM coming up in the State, along with the successfully running Centres of Excellence, TANCAM and TANSAM. Representatives from all four DTIS facilities and both CoEs actively participated throughout the Summit.

🤝 The TNDIC team engaged with industry partners, DRDO, BEL, ECIL, DGQA, MoD/DDP, CRPF, BSF and the Indian Armed Forces on opportunities in strategic electronics and the Aerospace & Defence sector.

🎙️ Key highlights:
▪️ Day 1: Wg Cdr P. Madhusoodhanan, Vice President (Aerospace & Defence), TIDCO, during the inaugural panel session, highlighted the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC), the State's enabling policy framework, and the advantages of its Single Window Portal for investors.
▪️ Day 2: Mr. V. Vinayagam, Senior Vice President, TIDCO, delivered a presentation highlighting the unique advantages Tamil Nadu offers, and the export and manufacturing opportunities in the Aerospace & Defence sector.
