On the morning of August 5, 2026, Director General Stephen S.C Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC) in Chennai visited Chennai Primary School and High School, Jafferkhanpet, to observe the impactful work being done in local education in collaboration with Bhumi.
Upon arrival, DG Stephen Hsu was warmly received by the two schools’ faculty members & Bhumi CSR Member Aruthura Arumugam, and greeted with bright smiles and bouquets from the enthusiastic students. During the visit, DG Stephen Hsu engaged with school leadership, including Primary School Headmistress Mrs. Kalaimathi and Mrs. Anjali from the Bhumi Fellowship, who guide 380 students across 12 classes with 15 teachers and 3 fellows, as well as High School Headmistress Dr. N. Jamuna, who oversees 362 students across 17 classes with 8 volunteers.
DG Stephen Hsu was taken on a comprehensive tour of the campus to observe the school's science labs, government-supported smart classrooms, and the innovative teaching methodologies driven by Bhumi's fellowship program.
This visit reflects TECC in Chennai's commitment to supporting meaningful educational initiatives, strengthening our collaboration with NGOs like Bhumi, fostering international goodwill, and empowering young learners through quality community partnerships.
