*STONEWALL WAS A RIOT! PRIDE IS A PROTEST!*
As Pride Month starts today, We remember Stonewall. No matter how much the capitalist establishment and corporate pinkwashers try to sanitize and erase this historic chapter, we will never forget the courageous LGBTQ+ working-class youth, led by trans women of color, who fiercely fought back against police brutality. They took the streets demanding equality, progress, and the absolute freedom to live as themselves.
Today, the q***r ancestors are calling upon us to find our courage and relentlessly protest the rising tide of caste, gender oppression, state-sponsored hate, fascist violence, and capitalist destruction. Pride cannot be reduced to corporate sponsorships, rainbow logos, or assimilation into a broken system; it is a continued struggle for mass liberation. We must remember “No Pride for some of us; without liberation for all of us”, our battles are unified with all oppressed, so does our emancipation.
It is fitting that the revolution ignites during Pride Month.
We also must reiterate and resist draconian laws like the Trans Act, 2026 which is Brahmanical and colonial in its root as well as Islamophobic by denying Muslim trans communities recognition.
