*RECLAIMING CAMPUS SPACES!*

The struggle to reclaim campus spaces is a struggle to defend the university as a democratic, inclusive and accessible space for all. Across campuses, students are confronting caste atrocities and discrimination, Islamophobia, attacks on reservation, the dilution of the UGC Equity Regulations, and growing q***rphobic and transphobic violence. Women students continue to face unsafe campus environments shaped by patriarchal structures and institutional apathy. At the same time, fund cuts, fee hikes and the increasing privatisation of education under the BJP-RSS regime are making public universities increasingly inaccessible.

Reclaiming campus spaces therefore means reclaiming our right to education, dignity, equality, dissent and collective life. It means building campuses where Dalit, Adivasi, OBC, Muslim, women, q***r and trans students can learn, organise and live without fear. It is a call to resist the systematic erosion of democratic university spaces and to fight for a campus that belongs to its students.

DSF strongly condemns the threatening and intimidating behaviour of SIS Councillor Shubham, who snatched the phone of our woman comrade, Com. Mousam, and continued to threaten and intimidate her. This act of harassment and aggression against a woman comrade is deeply patriarchal and misogynistic.

It is shameful that a councillor who claims to fight for “social justice” resorts to bullying, intimidation, and the heckling of women comrades exactly like ABVP. Such behaviour has no place in democratic student politics. We demand accountability and unequivocally reject this culture of patriarchal intimidation on campus.

DSF Condemns the Threats Against JNUSU General Secretary Sunil Yadav

DSF strongly condemns the alleged threats and intimidation directed at JNUSU General Secretary Sunil Yadav by ABVP member Sankalp Chaturvedi. Threatening an elected representative of the students’ union is an attack not just on an individual, but on the democratic functioning of JNU itself.

The growing culture of intimidation, muscle power, and political bullying has no place on a university campus.
