Uncovering the stories etched into our city's history! 🏛️✨
On Saturday, August 8th, we hosted a successful Heritage Walk at the stunning Wazirpur Tombs in R.K. Puram, masterfully led by Mr. Ratnendu Ray. From the intricate dome structures to the fascinating historical tales surrounding this heritage complex, every step was a journey back in time. 📜🔍
A massive thank you to Mr. Ray for sharing his immense knowledge, and to everyone who joined us and brought this historic site to life! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Heart full, feet tired, and appreciation for our local history renewed.

Among the many medieval ruins that adorn Delhi 🏛️, a large number are attributed to the Lodhi dynasty 👑.
Yet more surprising is how little we actually know about many of these structures 🗝️. A less-visited collection of such Monuments sits quietly in the leafy precincts of RK Puram 🌿, where we plan to have a walk chatting about the Lodhi Sultans 🗣️📜, while also considering why two walls there don't quite seem to be exactly parallel as they are expected to be 📐🔍. And there is a slight risk of doing some mathematics while we are at it ➕🔢.

Step back in time! 📜✨

We had an incredible Sunday evening exploring the breathtaking Tomb of Abdur Rahim Khan-i-Khanan in Nizamuddin East at 4:30 PM. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and brought so much enthusiasm and curiosity to the walk!
Special gratitude to our walk leader, Ms. Pooja Varma, for bringing the rich history, poetry, and architecture of this Mughal gem to life during the lovely sunset hours. 🏛️🌅

History, nature, and a perfect Sunday morning. 🏛️🍃
Yesterday, we explored the timeless beauty of Lodhi Garden with the brilliant Mr. Ratnendu Ray. We were also incredibly honored to have the esteemed historian Swapna Liddle with us 📚✨, adding even more depth and insight to our journey!
From architectural secrets 🤫 to tales of the past, our participants hung onto every word with absolute enthusiasm.

The lush green expanse offers its many charms, just as it has done in the past - reinventing itself in different avatars of both name and form, in response to the vision of changing powers and changing Custodians. 🌳👑
Empires fell, Rulers were buried, the Centuries flew past, and somewhere along the way, an immigrant man sent a letter to an old friend 12500 kms away, forever changing Delhi's favourite park. 📜✈️📮

Discovering Rahim’s Legacy
Join us for an immersive heritage walk at the tomb built by the legendary Mughal commander and poet, Abdur Rahim Khan-e-Khana, for his wife, Mah Banu.
As one of Emperor Akbar’s famed Navratan, Rahim lived a life grander than fiction.
On this walk, we will wander through the beautifully restored red sandstone building, refer to his timeless dohas and retrace the incredible life story of a warrior who spoke the language of the soul.
