On 03-09-2026, EAGLE Force, Telangana, in collaboration with TG-SAFE has launched joint operations across Telangana to inspect registered companies involved in the manufacture, possession, purchase, sale and storage of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic, Controlled Substances and Precursor Chemicals. Accordingly, a 5-day joint operation was launched from 03.09.2026, led by Sri R. Giridhar, IPS, SP (East), EAGLE Force. On Day 1, 10 joint teams comprising DSPs, Drug Inspectors and supporting staff inspected 20 factories across Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Yadadri-Bhongir and Nalgonda districts, focusing on controlled substances such as Acetic Anhydride, Anthranilic Acid, Ephedrine and Pseudoephedrine used in the manufacture of narcotic drugs. The operation aims to prevent illegal production and diversion of drugs and ensure strict compliance with the NDPS Act, 1985.

As part of the ongoing special drive against the illegal transportation, possession and distribution of narcotic substances. Telangana EAGLE Force in coordination with Wyra police(Khammam), conducted a special operation and apprehended (02) persons near Wyra involved in the illegal transportation of G***a from Odisha to Hyderabad, apprehended (02) persons and seized 12 Kgs G***a worth Rs.6 lakhs.

On 03-09-2026, On the third day, the EAGLE Force Awareness Team conducted a Drug Abuse & Addiction Awareness Programme at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Gachibowli, Hyderabad, as part of Mind Expo 2026. EAGLE Force also set up a dedicated drug-awareness stall and sensitised around 2,000 students and members of the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.

Acting on a complaint received through X(Twitter), EAGLE Force Telangana conducted an enquiry near FDDI, Pawwa Road, Raidurgam, and identified 4 minors (15–17 years) va**ng e-cigarettes. 2 e-cigarettes were seized from them. Based on the information developed, 2 young sellers were apprehended and 13 e-cigarettes were seized. The apprehended persons and seized e-cigarettes were handed over to Musheerabad Police Station. A case was registered vide Cr.No.337/2026 under Sections 4 r/w 7 of the Prohibition of Electronic Ci******es Act, 2019, and Section 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.

A Two-Day Course on the NDPS Act and related subjects is being conducted at RVRR Telangana Police Academy, Hyderabad, for police personnel of the Future City Commissionerate on 1st and 2nd September 2026. The programme covers key topics including PIT NDPS Act & Section 68(F), SOPs for investigation of NDPS Act cases and interrogation reports, DOPAMS, UNODCROSS, CDAT, CCTNS, NIDAAN, TSCOP, e-Sakshya, NATGRID, SIMS, ICJS, and E-Courts. The sessions are being delivered by Sri Sandeep Shandiliya, IPS (Retd.), Director, EAGLE Force; Sri Narsing Rao, DSP, EAGLE Force; Sri L.H. Rajeshwar Rao, DD (Law), EAGLE Force; Smt. Hema Rani, Inspector, EAGLE Force; Sri S. Ranjith Kumar, SI, EAGLE Force; and Smt. V. Ratna Kumari, WPC. Sri Tarun Joshi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Future City Commissionerate, also attended the session along with police personnel. The programme aims to enhance the knowledge, investigation skills, and legal understanding of police personnel and strengthen efforts to effectively combat drug-related offences.

On 01-09-2026, Sri P. Srinivas, Inspector, EAGLE Force, along with Awareness Team,conducted an awareness programme during five-day “Poshan Maah 2026” Exhibition organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) at A.V. College Grounds, Domalguda, Hyderabad.The inaugural session was attended by Sri Laxman Garu, Hon’ble Rajya Sabha Member; Smt. Shruti Patel, Addl. Director General, CBC; other CBC officials; and around 300 students. EAGLE Force Awareness Team set up an awareness stall to educate students, visitors and the general public about the ill effects of drug abuse, prevention of substance abuse, and the importance of a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
