Expanding partnerships to drive Innovation, Capacity Building and wider participation in Public Procurement, Government e Marketplace (GeM) signed MoUs with the National Institute for Smart Government (NISG) and Talent, Ideas, Capital & Entrepreneurship (TICE).
Bringing together NISG’s expertise in digital governance, public sector capacity building and research with TICE’s strong startup ecosystem network, the collaborations aim to foster a more capable, inclusive and innovation-driven public procurement landscape.
Under its partnership with NISG, GeM will collaborate on structured training programmes, certification frameworks, standardised learning content, research and stakeholder engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional capacities and advancing public procurement modernisation.
Through a separate MoU with TICE, a DPIIT-recognised Startup platform, GeM will work to enhance procurement readiness, accelerate startup runway utilisation and increase participation of young entrepreneurs and innovators in public procurement.
The MoUs were signed by Shri Satya Narayan Meena, ACEO, GeM, with Mr Srinath Chakravarthy, Senior Vice President, NISG, and Dr Seema N., Program Director, TICE, respectively.
These collaborations mark a significant step towards creating a more capable, inclusive and future-ready public procurement ecosystem.
