*** অবৈধ মদের কারবারে শিলিগুড়ি পুলিশের কঠোর অভিযান ***

২০২৬ সালের ৪ জুন, অবৈধ মদের উপদ্রব রুখতে শিলিগুড়ি পুলিশ কমিশনারেটের অধীনস্থ 'ভোরের আলো' থানার পুলিশকর্মীরা আবগারি দপ্তরের সাথে যৌথ অভিযানে নিজেদের থানা এলাকার আওতাধীন বিভিন্ন স্থানে ধারাবাহিক অভিযান চালায়।

এই অভিযানের সময়, অবৈধ মদ তৈরি ও চোলাইয়ের কাজে ব্যবহৃত বিপুল পরিমাণ সামগ্রী বাজেয়াপ্ত করা হয় এবং পরবর্তীতে তা নষ্ট করে ফেলা হয়। মোট বাজেয়াপ্ত সামগ্রীর আনুমানিক মূল্য ২,৪৪,০০০ টাকা। অবৈধ মদের উৎপাদন ও সেবন জনস্বাস্থ্য এবং নিরাপত্তার জন্য মারাত্মক ঝুঁকি সৃষ্টি করে, এর ফলে প্রায়শই গুরুতর শারীরিক অসুস্থতা, প্রাণহানি এবং অপরাধমূলক কার্যকলাপের ব্যাপক বিস্তার ঘটে থাকে।

শিলিগুড়ি পুলিশ অবৈধ মদের কারবার নির্মূল করতে এবং সকল নাগরিকের জন্য একটি নিরাপদ, সুরক্ষিত ও সুস্থ পরিবেশ নিশ্চিত করতে দৃঢ় প্রতিজ্ঞ।

*** Crackdown on Illegal Liquor Activities by Siliguri Police ***

On 4 June 2026, inorder to curb the menace of illicit liquor, the police personnel of Bhorer Alo Police Station, under the Siliguri Police Commissionerate, in coordination with the Excise Department, conducted a series of raids within the jurisdiction of Bhorer Alo Police Station.

During the operation, a substantial quantity of materials used for the manufacture and distillation of illegal liquor was seized and subsequently destroyed. The total value of the seized materials was estimated at ₹2,44,000/-.The production and consumption of illicit liquor pose serious threats to public health and safety, often leading to severe health complications, loss of life, and the proliferation of criminal activities.

Siliguri Police remains steadfast in its commitment to eradicating illegal liquor operations and ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy environment for all citizens.
