Enjoy the charm of Hiruzen! - Hiruzen Jersey Land

Hiruzen Jersey Land offers visitors the chance to enjoy delicious local specialties surrounded by beautiful highland landscapes. Enjoy the excitement of Okayama! - Uraja 2026

Uraja, the largest summer festival in Okayama Prefecture, will take place in the center of Okayama City on August 22rd and 23th! Participants dressed as the Ura (ogres) that appear in the ancient legend of Momotaro perform beautiful dances in downtown Okayama. This exciting two-day festival is filled with fun and music, and visitors are welcome to try the make-up experience free of charge, join in with the dancers, and eat delicious food from a wide variety of food stands.

Kasaoka Port Fireworks Festival 2026

A beautiful display of 5,500 fireworks decorates the night sky around Kasaoka Bay, and visitors thrill to see the impressive sight of fireworks reflected on the surface of the ocean. The Kasaoka Port Fireworks Festival includes one of the most dynamic displays of super-large Starmine in the Chugoku Region to create unforgettable memories of the summer of 2026.

Nomaru Engei Akaiwa Farm

Mabi Showa-kan Museum

Mabi Showa-kan is a private museum open twice a month. The museum has more than 12,000 items related to Japan's Showa period. The many exhibits include beautifully maintained classical cars, a few thousand small toy cars, cameras, home appliances, toys, movie posters, and farming tools.

Summer Festival in Okayama Forest Park - German Forest

Fantastic Summer Garden at Korakuen Garden and Summer Castle Illumination at Okayama Castle

One of Japan's three famous gardens, Okayama Korakuen Garden’s spacious grounds are enveloped by soft light to create a magical landscape. Okayama Castle on the opposite bank of the Asahi River features a jet-black castle keep. The keep and its surroundings are illuminated by lanterns to offer visitors a wonderfully unique Japanese atmosphere on summer nights.

Nishigawa Summer Light Festival 2026

The Nishigawa Greenway Park waterfront space located in the downtown area will be illuminated along the themes of "walking around town in yukata" and "tradition." Japanese umbrellas floating on the Nishigawa River and images of fireworks projected onto the water decorate the scene, and the sidewalks of Haremachi Street feature a refreshing light design that enhances the atmosphere.
