WEAH MOVEMENTS 2029 NATIONWIDE AUXILIARIES GROUPS NETWORK DEMANDS IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION OF POLICE IG AND INDEPENDENT PROBE INTO $370 MILLION DRUG SEIZURE

Monrovia, Liberia — The Weah Movements 2029 Nationwide Auxiliaries Groups Network strongly condemns the handling of the investigation into the alleged $370 million drug bust and seizure. We view the failure of President Joseph N. Boakai to require the Inspector General of Police, Hon. Gregory Coleman, to step aside at this time as an obstruction to transparency and public trust.

It is inconceivable that a police es**rt could facilitate the movement of $370 million worth of narcotics without the knowledge or acquiescence of the highest office of the Liberia National Police. For this reason, accountability must begin at the top.

In the interest of justice and to preserve the integrity of this investigation, we demand the following:

1. Immediate Suspension: The immediate suspension of Police IG Gregory Coleman within 72 hours to allow for an impartial investigation. Failure to act will leave us with no option but to mobilize a nationwide peaceful protest demanding justice and accountability.

2. Independent Investigation: The constitution of a new, independent investigative panel, to include international partners and the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), with full authority to pursue all leads.

3. Full Scope of Inquiry: If President Boakai and the First Lady are confident that their son, Mr. Jeremiah “Jojo” Boakai Jr., and any individual referred to as “Tintin” are not involved in this $370 million bust and seizure case, then the President must lead by example. The Police IG should be made to step down pending investigation, and the President’s son should voluntarily submit to questioning to clear his name.

4. Public Accountability: We call on the Government and the investigative team to provide the Liberian people with a comprehensive update on the status of the prior US$19 million drug case, and to clarify any connection or distinction between that matter and the current $370 million drug bust.

We further urge President Boakai to emulate the example of his predecessor, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah, who invited international partners to investigate the previous LD$16 billion case in the interest of transparency.

We caution that if the Police IG is not made to step aside, this investigation risks being compromised and swept under the carpet.

The Liberian people deserve adequate, timely, and credible information. A successful drug investigation must go beyond the seizure to dismantle the entire network — financiers, traffickers, suppliers, and facilitators.

THE WEAH MOVEMENTS 2029 NATIONWIDE AUXILIARIES GROUPS NETWORK DEMANDS TRANSPARENT AND CREDIBLE INVESTIGATION INTO $370 MILLION DRUG SEIZURE

Monrovia, Liberia — The Weah Movements 2029 Nationwide Auxiliaries Groups Network expresses grave concern and strong condemnation over the manner in which the Government of Liberia is conducting the investigation into the alleged $370 million drug bust and seizure.

We have also taken note of a video circulating on social media in which the name of the President’s son, Mr. Jeremiah “Jojo” Boakai Jr., was allegedly mentioned by individuals linked to the drug trade, purportedly seeking audience with the government.

In the interest of transparency, accountability, and public confidence, we make the following demands:

1. Inclusion in Investigation: We urge the investigative team to invite Mr. Jeremiah “Jojo” Boakai Jr. for questioning to clarify the claims made in the video and to eliminate any doubt or speculation.
2. Administrative Action: We call on His Excellency President Joseph N. Boakai to immediately suspend Police Inspector General Hon. Gregory Coleman pending the outcome of a full, independent investigation.
3. Due Process: We condemn the statement by the Minister of Justice clearing the Police IG of wrongdoing. The Minister of Justice is not a court of law. Allegations of this magnitude must be adjudicated by a competent court. No public official should be exonerated outside of due legal process.
4. New Investigative Team: We call for the immediate constitution of a new, independent, and multi-agency investigative team — including international partners and the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) — to take over and advance the investigation.

Furthermore, we question the decision to destroy the seized substances before all suspects have been identified, arrested, and prosecuted. A credible drug investigation must go beyond the seizure. It must dismantle the entire network — financiers, traffickers, suppliers, and facilitators.

The destruction of evidence before the completion of investigations and full legal proceedings undermines public trust and fuels suspicion of a cover-up.

Transparency and accountability are non-negotiable. Liberians deserve facts, not uncertainty. They deserve justice, not selective narratives.

When the Pastor Said, “Open Your Bible,” Many Boakai Gov't officials Had None.

At Liberia’s 179th Thanksgiving and Intercessory Prayer Service held at the First United Methodist Church in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, one thing stood out.

When the Master of Ceremony instructed the congregation to open their Bibles, many of the country’s top officials had none to open.

Among those observed without Bibles were

The only people who were seen carrying Bibles were members of the United Methodist clergy on the podium.

Even when guest the preacher Rev. Paula White-Cain asked the congregation to turn to different Bible passages, many of the senior officials did not appear to have Bibles with them.

The Chairman of the Unity Party, who is also a pastor, was also observed without a Bible.

Another thing noticed was that many officials kept looking at their phones during the service. It was not clear whether they were reading the Bible on their phones or doing something else.

The absence of printed Bibles among many senior officials at the National Thanksgiving Service raised questions about how prepared they were to follow the Scripture readings. While some may have been using Bible apps on their phones, the observation left many wondering whether their attention was on the worship service or elsewhere.

A video threatening the national security of our country is circulating social media. Most IT experts have confirmed this video is not AI generated.

Your Government has the important responsibility to authenticate this video given the threat made in the video against the nation.

As President, your first cardinal responsibility is to protect the nation from
external threat. The video gives you 24 hours to release the Columbians held in prison by your Government. This is a dangerous ultimatum. The video mentions the name of your son Jojo in connection with the current drug saga in Liberia. I advise you take this serious.

Now that we know the video is not AI generated, I give it a 75 percent chance of being authentic, given the trend of the current drug investigation. But I hope and pray I am wrong! I enjoin on your Government the responsibility to investigate this video and get to its source. The national security of our people is your most important priority as President, and I trust you will give this your utmost attention.
