The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chisinau promotes strong bilateral ties between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of the Netherlands and works actively to increase cooperation on the rule of law, human rights and security. Vision

We contribute to good governance and human rights as we support government and civil society organizations. We focus on justice sector reform, democratic elections and citizen participation and oversight. Press freedom and access to information, human right defenders, LGBTI and ethnic minorities are our priorities. We analyze and report on the political and security situation, including in the region of Transnistria and work together with our bilateral and multilateral partners towards preventing and resolving conflict. We support the implementation of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement. We help the Republic of Moldova to seize economic opportunities, growing bilateral trade and investment and improving the business climate. We stand ready to serve the interests of Dutch citizens and companies in the Republic of Moldova.

🇳🇱 Did you know the Netherlands has its own Versailles?

Built in the 17th century for stadtholder-king William III, Paleis Het Loo served as the primary residence of the Dutch royal family until 1975. The palace and its magnificent gardens were built in a Dutch Baroque style, drawing heavily on the French Palace of Versailles, but with a Dutch twist.

While William III hired French talent to emulate the opulent interiors and geometric Baroque gardens of his rival, King Louis XIV, he adapted the extravagant French architectural style into a more modest Dutch brick exterior. At the same time, he sought to surpass Versailles where he could: by harnessing the natural, high-pressure springs of Apeldoorn, his engineers created fountains that shot higher than those at Versailles.

🇲🇩🇳🇱Primăria municipiului Ungheni și Primarul Beekdaelen (Țările de Jos) au semnat o scrisoare bilaterală de intenție privind construirea unui parteneriat solid, bazat pe respect, unitate și solidaritate.

În urma unei vizite a primarului Beekdaelen, Eric Geurts și a echipei sale la Ungheni, părțile au făcut un schimb de experiențe și lecții învățate despre procesul de amalgamare voluntară și au reiterat intenția de a dezvolta parteneriate bilaterale.

💪Grupuri de suport pentru femei victime ale violenței domestice în Ungheni,

⛺️un FemCamp pentru gestionarea burnout-ului pentru activiști,
🎥o serie de documentare despre oamenii Moldovei,

📬un schimb de scrisori între cele două maluri ale Nistrului.

În aceste zile, experții de la Institutul Clingendael capacitează secretarii de stat și funcționari din cadrul Biroul pentru Integrare Europeană în procesul de aderare la UE pentru etapele care urmează.

Este o bună ocazie de a afla mai multe despre procesul de extindere, strategii și tehnici de negocieri cu instituțiile europene, colaborarea cu statele membre, bunele practici și lecțiile învățate de alte state candidate.
