Construction activities for the Ebeye Seawall PREP II Footpath Project continue to progress steadily along the ocean-side. Current efforts include site grading and surface preparation to enhance pedestrian access and establish a continuous pathway alignment along the seawall. Additionally, cast-in-place reinforced concrete sidewalk sections are in progress. Each concrete panel is constructed with embedded dowels to ensure a robust structural connection between adjacent spans, thereby improving load transfer and the overall performance of the footpath.

Funding for footpath is provided by KADA (compact fund), with an allocation of $2,450,000.00, to cover the shortfall of the WB PREP II project. We sincerely appreciate the support of the people and the Government of the United for addressing this shortfall.

The Water Catchment Concrete Pad at Mid Corridor Housing Project Stage 1 has been upgraded to improve water management. Originally, the water system for all 12 units was designed to share a single water source and pump, which posed limitations on water distribution and efficiency. To address this, we have implemented a solution where each unit now has its own dedicated water pump and catchment system, ensuring independent water supply and enhanced reliability for residents.

Our contractor working at the Ebeye Mortuary made an incredible find—an etching on the wall bearing the date August 11, 1934. If authentic, this suggests the structure was built during the Japanese era, which is truly remarkable. Does anyone have insights to confirm if this is factual?

Enebouj Community Center Project Update. Construction activities at the Enebouj Community Center Project continue to progress steadily, with significant advancement made on the reinforced concrete column works, including the installation of vertical rebar cages and formwork. A joint inspection was conducted today at the Ebeye Morgue Building site, involving teams from the National Telecommunications Authority (NTA) and the KADA (Kwajalein Atoll Development Authority). During the inspection, NTA confirmed the potential relocation of their pedestal cable, which is currently blocking the designated passageway. This adjustment is needed to support the upcoming construction and ensure clear access around the new Morgue Building. The fire hydrant will also be relocated.
