Yesterday, Ghaazee School hosted the Hydroponic Produce Harvest Event, celebrating lettuce & Chinese cabbage grown through the Ministry's hydroponics system.

The program ran from 22 April–21 May 2026, yielding 160 plants. The ceremony showcased students' hands-on learning in sustainable agriculture.

38 participants received completion certificates. Minister of State Ahmed Hassan Didi officiated.

High commissioner Dr. Md. Nazmul Islam paid a courtesy call on Minister Ahmed Shiyam yesterday. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and exchange of knowledge between the Maldives and Bangladesh, particularly in the fields of fisheries and agriculture.

Both sides explored opportunities for collaboration, capacity building, and working together to further enhance sustainable development in these vital sectors.

އިނގިރޭސިވިލާތަށް އެތެރެކުރާ ކަނޑުމަހުގެ އުފެއްދުންތަކުން ނަގަމުންދިޔަ 20 އިންސައްތައިގެ އިމްޕޯޓް ޓެރިފް، ކަނޑާލުމަށް އެ ޤައުމުގެ ސަރުކާރުން ނިންމައިފި.

‏ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން އަހަރަކު ގާތްގަނޑަކަށް 16.7 އާއި 18 މިލިއަން ޕައުންޑާ ދެމެދުގެ އަދަދަކަށް އިނގިރޭސިވިލާތަށް ކަނޑު މަސް އެކްސްޕޯޓް ކުރެއެވެ. މިހާރުވެސް އިނގިރޭސިވިލާތަށް އެންމެ ގިނައިން މަސް ފޯރުކޮށްދޭ 9 ވަނަ ޤައުމަކީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއެވެ. އިނގިރޭސިވިލާތުގެ މި ނިންމުމުގެ އެންމެ ބޮޑު މަންފާއެއް ކުރާނީ ދިވެހި މަސްވެރިންނަށާއި، މަސްވެރި އާއިލާތަކަށާއި މަސްވެރި ރަށްރަށާއި އަދި ރާއްޖޭގެ މަސް ބަންދުކުރާ ސިނާޢަތަށެވެ. މީގެ ސަބަބުން މަހުގެ އުފެއްދުންތަކަށް ލިބޭ އާމްދަނީ އިތުރުވެ، އިޤްތިޞާދީ ގޮތުން ބޮޑެތި ކުރިއެރުންތަކެއް ލިބޭނެއެވެ.
