This is the official page of Maldives Allied Health Council (MAHC), the government regulatory authority established under the Ministry of Health, in respect of the practice of allied health professionals under the Health Professionals’ Act13/2015. The Board’s main purpose is to protect the health and safety of the public through the following delegated functions;

· Registering and licensing allie

· Developing standards, code of ethics, and guidelines for allied health professionals

· Handling notification, complaints, investigations and disciplinary hearings regarding conduct and fitness to practice of allied health professionals

· Setting educational standards and approving accredited courses of study

To be one of the leading government regulatory bodies that is progressive, has sound reputation for ethical standards and professionalism which ensures competent and high-quality allied health services by licensees and registrants of the Council

To protect the safety of professionals and public, by ensuring high quality allied health services, promoting continuous professional development, safeguarding ethics and establishing professional standards for competency and integrity through registration, licensing and regulation of Allied health professions

It was a privilege to engage and provide expert guidance at VARA EXPO 2025, on a broad spectrum of registration and licensing matters, including the selection of appropriate programs of study, attainment of allied health certifications, licensing procedures, clinical experience requirements, and career development pathways.
