Highlights from social audit program 2025.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), in collaboration with the European Union and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), conducted social audits to strengthen public and civil society engagement in monitoring infrastructure projects from public sector investment program (PSIP) across the Maldives.

Xin Li, Senior Economist, SPR; Anamaria Maftei, Economist, FAD; and Ranil Manohara Salgado, IMF Senior Regional Resident Representative, met with Members of the Commission and division heads of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to discuss key policy priorities, ongoing reforms, and legislative developments aimed at strengthening good governance and anti-corruption efforts in the Maldives.
ACC also shared recent institutional developments, key challenges, and opportunities for future collaboration with the IMF.

The Commission appreciated the continued engagement of the IMF Article IV Mission and reaffirmed its commitment to advancing cooperation in strengthening transparency, accountability, and anti-corruption efforts.
