NUCLEAR BILL CONSULTATION IN EENHANA

Residents of Ohangwena Region participated successfully in the public consultation on the Nuclear Bill, held in Eenhana. The event was officially opened by Honourable Kadiva Hamutumwa, Governor of Ohangwena Region, while Honourable Efraim Lebbeus, Chairperson of the Ohangwena Regional Council, warmly welcomed all participants and facilitators. He further appealed to all participants to engage openly and constructively, emphasising that such contributions are vital for safeguarding the interests and advancing the well‑being of future generations.

The consultation was facilitated by the Atomic Energy Board of Namibia in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Services. Its main purpose was to engage the public on the provisions of the Nuclear Bill, ensuring that community voices and perspectives are incorporated into the legislative process.
