HARD AT WORK

ONGWEDIVA | The Ongwediva Town Council today conducted a site inspection of the ongoing Abraham Nyambali and Simon Hashiyana Road upgrade project to assess progress and ensure that construction works are being carried out in accordance with the required standards and specifications.

The inspection forms part of the Council’s commitment to quality assurance, accountability, and the timely delivery of infrastructure projects.

The upgrade of Abraham Nyambali and Simon Hashiyana Road from gravel to bitumen standard is expected to improve road safety, accessibility, and mobility for residents, while reducing dust pollution and enhancing the overall urban infrastructure of Ongwediva. Regular inspections help ensure that the project delivers lasting benefits to the community and contributes to the town’s continued growth and development.

The project is being undertaken by SASH Trading and Earthworks JV AJ Engineering and Construction CC, which was contracted by the Ongwediva Town Council to construct and upgrade the Abraham Nyambali and Simon Hashiyana road networks from gravel to bitumen standard over a period of seven months.

SITE INSPECTION

ONGWEDIVA | The Ongwediva Town Council today conducted a site inspection of the ongoing Simon Hashiyana Road upgrade project to assess progress and ensure that construction works are being carried out according to the required standards and specifications.

The inspection forms part of the Council’s commitment to quality assurance, accountability, and timely project delivery.

The upgrade from gravel to bitumen standard will improve road safety, accessibility, and mobility for residents while reducing dust pollution and enhancing the overall urban infrastructure of Ongwediva.

SIMON HASHIYANA ROAD NEARING COMPLETION

ONGWEDIVA | The upgrading of the Simon Hashiyana road network from gravel to bitumen standard is nearing completion, marking another important milestone in the Town Council's infrastructure development programme.

During a Council inspection conducted today, Monday, 15 June 2026, the contractor was observed working diligently to finalize the remaining groundworks and bring the project to completion.

Upon completion of Simon Hashiyana Street, the contractor will proceed with the upgrading of Abraham Nyambali Street, further enhancing the town's road infrastructure and improving accessibility for residents and road users.

ONGWEDIVA | The upgrading of Simon Hashiyana Road from gravel to bitumen standard is nearing completion, with the contractor working diligently to finalize the remaining construction works.

This significant infrastructure improvement marks another milestone in the Town Council's commitment to enhancing road networks, improving accessibility, and providing safer and more convenient transportation for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

Soon, road users will bid farewell to dust and enjoy a smoother, more durable, and modern road surface.
