Wüstenquell offers several accommodation options. The Lodge Rooms and Rondawel are close to the main lodge, while the Mountain Chalets provide a more separate setting.

Over time, we have named many of the farm’s remarkable formations, including Eagle Rock and Elephant Rock. This one still needs a name. Share your suggestion in the comments!

VACANCY: FULL-TIME SEAMSTRESS / UPHOLSTERER

Whipps Wilderness Safaris is looking for a skilled, practical and reliable Seamstress / Upholsterer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant will work across our remote lodges and camps, assisting with the repair, maintenance and creation of soft furnishings, including cushions, curtains, tent canvas, bedding items, upholstery, uniforms and other camp-related sewing projects.

Requirements:
• Proven sewing and upholstery experience – photos of past sewing projects
• Able to use industrial sewing machines confidently
• Experience working with canvas, heavy fabrics and outdoor materials will be an advantage
• Good eye for detail, neat finishing and practical problem-solving
• Able to work independently and manage projects from start to finish
• Willingness to travel and work at remote camps and lodges
• Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
• Valid driver’s licence will be an advantage

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining comfortable, well-presented guest spaces in the Namibian wilderness.
