BATCH ‘B’ STREAM I CORPS MEMBERS SIGN OUT IN ENUGU EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA
Corps Members of NYSC Batch ‘B’ Stream I serving in Enugu East Local Government Area have officially signed out, marking the successful completion of their one-year national service.
The colourful ceremony, held at the Council Headquarters, featured the Executive Chairman of Enugu East Local Government Area, Engr. Pst. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike, who was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Barr. Uchenna Mbaeke.
Delivering the Chairman’s goodwill message, Barr. Mbaeke congratulated the outgoing Corps Members on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the Government, and the good people of Enugu East Local Government Area for successfully completing one of the most significant chapters of their lives.
He noted that under the leadership of Engr. Pst. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike, Enugu East Local Government has continued to run an inclusive system of governance where every community has a sense of belonging, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between the urban and rural communities in terms of government attention, opportunities, and development.
He further highlighted the Council’s unwavering commitment to human capital development, describing it as one of the most outstanding local government initiatives in Nigeria. According to him, the Council’s sustained investments in education, youth empowerment, skills acquisition, and people-centred programmes reflect the administration’s conviction that the greatest asset of any society is its people.
Barr. Mbaeke encouraged the Corps Members to cherish the experiences gained during their service year, build lasting relationships, continue developing themselves through learning and skills acquisition, and regard their NYSC Discharge Certificates not as the end of a journey but as the foundation for greater accomplishments. He urged them to become innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals, employers of labour, and worthy ambassadors of the National Youth Service Corps wherever they find themselves.
The ceremony was attended by officials of Enugu East Local Government, NYSC officials led by the State Coordinator, Corps Members, and other stakeholders, who joined in celebrating the successful completion of the service year by the outgoing Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps Members.
