På denne dagen, for 15 år siden, ble Norge utsatt for et forferdelig terrorangrep som tok livet av 77 uskyldige mennesker.

I dag minnes vi de overlevende, ofrene og deres familier, og alle som er blitt pårørt av denne grusomme og voldelige hendelsen.

Den Irske Ambassaden står sammen med Kongeriket Norge, som har vist verden at de ikke bukker til hat og divisjon, men gjenstår heller som et enda sterkere symbol av frihet, fred og toleranse.

With a new exhibition open
and fresh excavations of the Viking site at Woodstown, Co. Waterford with combined team of Irish 🇮🇪 and Norwegian 🇳🇴 archaeologists, Viking connections between both countries are receiving renewed interest.

Ambassador Buckley was delighted to participate in events to mark Iceland’s National Day on 17 June

She conveyed warm greetings on the occasion of Iceland’s National Day from Uachtarán na hÉireann, Catherine Connolly to President Halla Tómasdóttir, forseti Íslands at Bessastaðir.

She had the opportunity also to meet with Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Embassy was recently delighted to receive a donation to our library of this facsimile edition of from Fr. Rory Mulligan, SM, who has called Norway home since 1969.

This 1:1 scale facsimile edition of The Book of Kells was printed and bound in 1976 in Switzerland and published by Thames & Hudson

We are very grateful to Fr Mulligan for entrusting the Embassy with this pristine edition.
