Nepal Institute for Policy Research (NIPoRe) is an independent and non-partisan think-tank based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It aims to generate evidence-based debates among citizens and critical actors of development in both the public and private sectors on contemporary policy issues. Our team members represent the diversity of academic disciplines, professional backgrounds, and geography. According to the 36th Annual Report from Nepal's Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), a total of 40,842 complaints were filed during the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

Of these complaints, 49.03% were associated with Local Governments, 37.98% pertained to the Federal Government, and 12.99% involved Provincial Governments.

Among the provinces, Madhesh reported the highest number of complaints, while Gandaki recorded the fewest. On average, CIAA recorded 758 complaints from each province during this period.
