Here’s a quick summary of what was discussed at this week’s Bluff Community Board meeting.
In April and May, 313 sumps were cleaned across Bluff, and vegetation has been cleared on Foreshore Road to improve visibility.
The footpath on Foyle Street will be temporarily closed from this week for an upgrade. The car park will be sealed afterwards.
A representative from NZTA came to the meeting to provide an update, and the Board has drafted a letter supporting a proposed speed reduction on SH1 approaching Bluff.
The Foreshore Road wooden wharf was discussed, but no decision has been made as we wait for more information.
There was also an update from the Bluff Promotions Officer about the Bluff Oyster Festival and upcoming events, including the Matariki Night Market and Fire and Light Show on 11 July.
