🔥 Mura Wānanga #5 — The Final Chapter

It’s hard to believe we’re here already.

This Friday our Mura whānau head away for the fifth and final wānanga of the programme. It's been an incredible journey of growth, challenge, connection, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Last wānanga, our rangatahi learned the theory behind safe diving practices, put their skills to the test in the pool, and then took on a shore dive in the moana — bringing home pāua and a whole lot of confidence.

This time, we're taking those skills to Kaikōura. 🌊

Our most active wānanga yet, and a fitting way to finish a programme built on stepping outside comfort zones, backing yourself, and growing alongside your people.

Kaikōura, we're on our way. Lesshgo. 💪🏽🔥

✨KA PŪ TE RUHA, KA HAO TE RANGATAHI✨

One legend clocks off, another steps in.

Last month we farewelled our very own Aquaman, Ben 🌊 — a calm presence, a hard worker, and someone who backed our whānau with genuine heart and humour. Your impact across Tī Wana won’t be forgotten e hoa. Go well on your next adventure — once whānau, always whānau 🖤❤️🤍

Now stepping into the Kaitiaki Hauora space — welcome Kimi Pokere-Tamepo 🔥

A highly experienced Whānau Ora practitioner with deep Eastside roots and strong community connections, Kimi brings passion, authenticity, and a whole lot of mana to the kaupapa. When she’s not doing the mahi, you’ll probably catch her sideline managing rugby and league teams… although rumours are she’s thinking about lacing up the boots herself 👀🏉

Nau mai, haere mai Kimi — we’re thrilled to have you onboard.
