After celebrating Richard O'Briens star unveiling recently, we hear the sad news today of the passing of his long time friend & fellow performer Tim Curry. A great performer that'll be missed dearly. R.I.P Tim.

Tim Curry died aged 80 after years of health challenges following a 2012 stroke.

ANOTHER STAR IS ABOUT TO SHINE ON THE NEW ZEALAND WALK OF FAME!

Get ready for a truly spectacular celebration as we honour the extraordinary Tina Cross ONZM with her very own star on the New Zealand Walk of Fame!

Sunday 20th September 2026
Orewa Boulevard 4pm

Tina has been lighting up New Zealand’s entertainment industry for 50 years, and what a remarkable journey it has been! From her unforgettable 1979 Pacific Song Contest victory with “Nothing But Dreams”, to conquering the charts with Koo De Tah, starring in some of our favourite musical theatre productions, captivating audiences on television and performing alongside international legends, Tina has truly earned her place among New Zealand’s entertainment greats.

Her extraordinary contribution to music was recognised with an ONZM, and she has also received the prestigious Benny Award for her contribution to New Zealand variety entertainment.

Now it’s time to celebrate Tina Cross — the voice, the talent, the passion and the legend!

Come along to Orewa Boulevard and be part of this very special and historic occasion.

Tina & special guests will be performing afterwards at the Hibiscus Coast RSA at 6pm.

YES INDEED...WHAT A STAR UNVEILING...and an incredible day!

What a fantastic turnout on the Orewa Boulevard as we celebrated the star unveiling for the legendary Richard O’Brien!

The atmosphere was amazing, the support was overwhelming, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together to honour such an iconic Kiwi entertainer.

And the celebrations continued at a fabulous after-party with great music from The Rockstok band, accompanied by the Electric Dolls Dancers for the Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite, so plenty of reasons to raise a glass!

A truly special day, a wonderful celebration, and a moment to be remembered for years to come.
