Remembering Sir Howard Morrison — Forever in Our Hearts ❤️

Today, we pause to remember and celebrate the life of a true New Zealand icon, Sir Howard Morrison, who passed away on this day in 2009.

Seventeen years may have passed, but the voice, the laughter, the warmth and the unmistakable presence of Sir Howard remain firmly woven into the story of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

He was so much more than an extraordinary entertainer. He was a beloved singer, performer, raconteur and proud Māori man who brought joy to generations of New Zealanders. Whether performing on stage, entertaining on television or simply sharing his wonderful humour, Sir Howard had a rare ability to make people feel connected.

His legacy lives on through the music he gave us, the memories he created and, most importantly, through his whānau and the generations who continue to carry his name and spirit forward.

As we remember Sir Howard today, we also remember his enormous contribution to New Zealand entertainment and the special place he holds in the hearts of so many.

ONE STAR. ONE SECRET. ONE VERY BIG SURPRISE.

Something that has NEVER happened before on the NZ Walk of Fame is about to happen… 👀

On 25 November at 10:00am, a very special star will be unveiled on Orewa Boulevard.

But there’s something extraordinary about this unveiling…

THE PERSON RECEIVING THE STAR HAS NO IDEA.

Not a clue.
Not a hint.
Not even a whisper.

They won’t know their name is about to be revealed until the moment the curtain comes down.

We're not able to tell you who it is.
We can’t tell you why just yet.
And we certainly can’t spoil the surprise…

But we CAN tell you this:

It’s going to be a moment to remember.
It’s going to be a celebration of someone truly special.
And you can be there when the secret is finally revealed.

NZ Walk of Fame – Orewa Boulevard
25 November

And come along to witness a completely unexpected star unveiling that will leave one very surprised person standing among the stars.

WHO IS IT?

We’re not telling…

You’ll have to be there to find out.
