Search and Destroy Strategy: Sama-samang Pagkilos Laban sa Dengue

Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na kampanya laban sa Dengue, nagsagawa ang Rural Health Unit (RHU) staff, Rural Sanitary Inspector (RSI), HRH Angadanan , Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), at mga Barangay Officials ng Search and Destroy Strategy sa mga barangay na may naitalang kaso ng dengue.

Isinagawa ang pag-iikot at pagbisita sa mga kabahayan ng mga kumpirmadong kaso ng dengue upang matukoy ang mga posibleng pinamumugaran ng lamok. Sinuri ang paligid ng mga bahay, lalo na ang mga lalagyan at lugar na maaaring maipunan ng tubig at maging breeding sites ng lamok. Ang mga natukoy na posibleng pinamumugaran ay agad na tinugunan bilang bahagi ng pagsisikap na maputol ang cycle ng pagdami ng lamok na nagdadala ng dengue.

Bilang karagdagang hakbang sa mga barangay na may mataas na bilang ng dengue cases, isinagawa rin ang spraying sa mga lugar na kinakailangang tugunan, kasabay ng pamamahagi ng mga gamot at iba pang kinakailangang health supplies sa mga apektadong komunidad.

Patuloy na hinihikayat ang bawat pamilya na makiisa sa “Search and Destroy” sa sariling tahanan: regular na hanapin at alisin ang mga bagay na maaaring pag-ipunan ng tubig at panatilihing malinis ang paligid.

Ang laban kontra dengue ay hindi lamang responsibilidad ng health workers. Sa sama-samang pagkilos ng RHU, barangay officials, BHWs, BNS, RSI, at bawat pamilya, mas magiging epektibo ang pagpigil sa pagdami ng dengue cases at pagprotekta sa kalusugan ng buong komunidad.

PuroKalusugan Brings Essential Health Services to Barangay Lomboy, Angadanan, Isabela

On September 22, 2026, the PuroKalusugan activity was conducted in Barangay Lomboy, Angadanan, Isabela, bringing essential health services and health information closer to residents in the community.

The activity was led by the Municipal Health Officer, together with the dedicated team of the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Angadanan. The initiative reflects the commitment of the Municipal Health Office to make basic healthcare services more accessible to residents,

Residents were able to avail themselves of various essential health services, including medical consultation, blood pressure monitoring, maternal and child health services, health education, oral health services and the distribution of prescribed medicines. PhilHealth YAKAP registration was also provided to assist eligible residents in accessing and enrolling in essential health insurance benefits.

Through PuroKalusugan, the RHU continues to bring quality primary healthcare closer to the community, promoting disease prevention, early detection, and improved access to health services. The RHU also extends its gratitude to the Barangay Officials, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and the residents of Barangay Lomboy for their active participation and support in making the activity a success.

PuroKalusugan and TB Caravan Bring Essential Health Services to Barangay Cumu, Angadanan, Isabela

On September 15, 2025, the residents of Barangay Cumu, Angadanan, Isabela, benefited from the PuroKalusugan and Tuberculosis (TB) Caravan, bringing essential health services closer to the community.

The TB Caravan was sponsored by Cagayan Valley Center for Health and Development (CVCHD) in partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP). The activity provided an opportunity for community members to access important health services, particularly those related to tuberculosis prevention, screening, and early detection.

The activity was further strengthened by the availability of oral health services, made possible through the initiative and support of Dr. Juvy Mamauag, a dentist and resident of Barangay Cumu. Her willingness to extend her professional services to her fellow residents contributed significantly to making dental care more accessible to the community.

The successful implementation of the activity would not have been possible without the dedication and support of the Barangay Officials, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of the Fugaru Region. Their assistance in mobilizing residents, facilitating the delivery of services, and supporting the health team helped ensure the smooth and meaningful conduct of the caravan.

Special recognition is also extended to Diana Raymundo, Barangay Midwife, and Jessa Marie Tapat, Human Resources for Health (HRH) personnel assigned to the barangay, for their valuable assistance and commitment to the health and well-being of the community.

4T’s KONTRA DENGUE!

Dahil sa pagtaas ng kaso ng dengue sa panahon ng tag ulan, may paalala mula sa ating mga Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) at BNS ng Barangay Salay

Alamin at isabuhay ang 4T’s sa pag-iwas sa Dengue:

TAOB – Itaob ang mga bagay na maaaring pag-ipunan ng tubig.

TAKTAK – itaktak ng mabuti ang mga lalagyan o containers na nakasalok ng tubig ulan sa ating kapaligiran at alisin ang mga posibleng pamugaran ng lamok.

TUYO – Panatilihing tuyo at malinis ang paligid

TAKIP – Takpan ang mga lalagyan ng tubig.

Huwag nating hintayin na may magkasakit bago kumilos. Ang kalinisan at pag-iwas ay responsibilidad nating lahat.

DENGUE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Sa pagtaas ng kaso ng dengue sa ilang barangay sa ating bayan, ang ating Pamahalaang Bayan sa pangunguna ng ating Municipal Mayor, Hon. Joelle Mathea Panganiban katuwang ang Municipal Health Office sa pamumuno ng ating Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Princess Faith P. Penetrante, ay muling nagpapaalala sa lahat na maging mapagmatyag at aktibong makiisa sa mga hakbang upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng dengue.

Hinihikayat ang bawat isa na panatilihing malinis ang kapaligiran at isabuhay ang 5S Kontra Dengue:
✅ Search and destroy – Suyurin at sirain ang mga pinamumugaran ng lamok.
✅Sustain hydration – Uminom ng sapat na tubig.
✅ Secure self-protection – Gumamit ng proteksyon laban sa kagat ng lamok.
✅ Seek early consultation – Kumonsulta agad kapag may sintomas.
✅ Support spraying – Makipagtulungan sa pagpapausok kapag may outbreak.

At tandaan ang 4T Kontra Dengue:
✅TAOB - itaob o baliktarin ang mga lalgyan na nakakasalok ng tubig na pwedeng pangitlogan ng mga lamok
✅ TUYO - palaging linisin ang kapaligiran iwasang magkaroon ng tubig na nakaimbak sa ating paligid
✅TAKTAK- linising mabuti ang mga lagayan ng tubig.
✅TAKIP- takpan ang mga tubig na nakaimbak upang maiwasang magkaroon ng breeding sites ang mga lamok.

PuroKalusugan Brings Essential Health Services to Barangay Dalakip and Ingud Sur

The Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Angadanan successfully conducted a PuroKalusugan activity in Barangay Dalakip and Ingud Sur, led by Dr Krissy Castro , together with Ms Diana Raymundo the barangay midwife and Ms Jessa Marie M.Tapat, the Human Resources for Health (HRH) personnel assigned to the barangay.

Residents were able to avail themselves of various essential health services, including medical consultation, blood pressure monitoring, maternal and child health services, health education, and the distribution of prescribed medicines.

Through PuroKalusugan, the RHU continues to bring quality primary healthcare closer to the community, promoting disease prevention, early detection, and improved access to health services. The RHU also extends its gratitude to the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and the residents of Barangay Dalakip and Ingud Sur for their active participation and support in making the activity a success.
