𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟰 | 𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗗 𝗙𝗢 𝗖𝗔𝗥 𝘅 𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗗 𝗙𝗢 𝗫𝗜𝗜 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

GLAN, Sarangani Province - As emergency response efforts transition toward local management, the DSWD FO 12 and DSWD FO CAR Binnadang Team continued providing psychosocial support while ensuring the smooth turnover of responsibilities and resources to local partners.

The team conducted group dynamics and psychosocial activities for children at the Big Margus Evacuation Center and endorsed the remaining Child-Friendly Space (CFS) kits to daycare workers, allowing child-focused interventions to continue beyond the team’s deployment.

To sustain response operations, the team formally turned over key responsibilities to the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU), ensuring continuity of assistance after the team’s deployment. They also revisited evacuation centers to validate the implementation of previously issued recommendations and assisted in the operation of the Mobile Kitchen managed by DSWD Field Office I, supporting the continued provision of hot meals for affected families.

The team further ensured the proper turnover of family modular tents to barangay officials for distribution to families at the Purok Piao Siao Evacuation Center. They also visited a person with disability and an internally displaced person at the Kapya Pinangtalanan Evacuation Center who had recently received a wheelchair from the first batch of the DSWD FO CAR Binnadang Team, to monitor the beneficiary’s condition and assess any continuing needs.

As the deployment nears its conclusion, the DSWD FO CAR Binnadang Team remains committed to empowering local partners and helping earthquake-affected communities continue their path toward recovery and resilience.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗚𝗜𝗣 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲

Forty-eight Government Internship Program (GIP) interns completed a two-day Warehouse Duty on 06-07 July 2026 at the DSWD CAR Regional Warehouse in La Trinidad, Benguet.

In time for the celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month of July, the hands-on activity immersed the interns in actual warehouse operations, transitioning them from orientation to direct application.

During the activity, the interns engaged in inspecting family food packs to ensure standard compliance, gaining firsthand experience in warehouse workflows and the handling of relief goods and understanding the teamwork required to sustain the Department’s disaster response efforts.

By experiencing the frontlines of relief operations, the interns directly contributed to the Department's disaster readiness while mastering coordination efforts required for effective public service logistics.

Baguio City— Two individuals living in street situations were reached out during an outreach activity of the DSWD FO CAR's Pag-abot Program on 02 June 2026.

After the initial assessment, they were brought for medical assessment. Then, they were transferred to the Regional Pag-abot Processing Center in La Trinidad, Benguet, where they are now receiving temporary shelter and support as they begin their journey toward a safer and more stable life.

Having lived on the streets for 19 years, they shared the challenges they faced due to poverty, limited education, and the lack of stable work.

Sagot ka ng DSWD AICS Guarantee Letter!

Sa panahon ng matinding krisis—tulad ng biglaang pagkakasakit o pagpanaw ng isang mahal sa buhay—madalas na nadaragdagan ang alalahanin dahil sa mga gastusin. Ngunit hindi ninyo kailangang harapin ito nang mag-isa, dahil may programa ang DSWD na maaaring makatulong sa inyo.

Sa pamamagitan ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), nagbibigay ang Kagawaran ng iba't ibang uri ng tulong, kabilang ang medical at funeral assistance. Bilang bahagi ng mga serbisyong ito, maaaring mag-isyu ang DSWD ng Guarantee Letter (GL) na ginagamit sa mga partner service provider, tulad ng mga ospital, botika, diagnostic center at punerarya.

07 JULY — The DSWD FO CAR Binnadang Team sustained its humanitarian response efforts in Glan, Sarangani by strengthening psychosocial support for children, empowering local caregivers, and engaging internally displaced persons (IDPs) as communities gradually prepare for the next phase of recovery.

The team continued group dynamics and psychosocial activities for children at the Big Margus Evacuation Center, endorsed Child-Friendly Space (CFS) kits to daycare workers to support child protection interventions, and conducted a kamustahan session, validation, and reorientation on evacuation center rules and regulations with displaced families at Purok Piao Siao, Big Margus. A meeting with IDPs was also held to discuss initial preparations for the recovery phase, emphasizing community participation and a smooth transition toward rehabilitation and rebuilding.
