Under the leadership of 𝑭𝑪𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑻 𝑱𝑼𝑵𝑰𝑻𝑶 𝑭 𝑴𝑨𝑺𝑳𝑨𝑵𝑮, 𝑫𝑺𝑪, Regional Director, and under the direct supervision of 𝑭𝑪𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑪 𝑨 𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑴𝑶𝑨𝑵, 𝑴𝑷𝑨, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Catanduanes, BFP Baras Fire Station, headed by 𝑺𝑭𝑶𝟐 𝑹𝒆𝒙 𝑩 𝑺𝒂𝒖𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒐, Officer-in-Charge, reminds everyone to remember and practice the STOP, DROP, AND ROLL technique in case clothing catches fire.

🔥 STOP, DROP, AND ROLL! 🔥

Knowing what to do when your clothes catch fire can save your life. Do not panic or run, as running can make the flames burn faster. Instead, remember these three important steps:

🛑 STOP – Stop immediately. Do not run or wave your arms, as movement can fan the flames.

⬇️ DROP – Drop to the ground, cover your face with your hands to protect it, and lie down.

🔄 ROLL – Roll back and forth until the flames are completely extinguished. If possible, use a thick cloth or blanket to help smother the flames, ensuring that it does not cover the face.

After the flames are out, seek immediate medical assistance. Burns require proper medical attention, even if they appear minor.

Under the leadership of 𝑭𝑪𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑻 𝑱𝑼𝑵𝑰𝑻𝑶 𝑭 𝑴𝑨𝑺𝑳𝑨𝑵𝑮, 𝑫𝑺𝑪, Regional Director, and under the direct supervision of 𝑭𝑪𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑪 𝑨 𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑴𝑶𝑨𝑵, 𝑴𝑷𝑨, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Catanduanes, BFP Baras Fire Station, headed by 𝑺𝑭𝑶𝟐 𝑹𝒆𝒙 𝑩 𝑺𝒂𝒖𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒐, Officer-in-Charge, reminds everyone to practice fire safety at all times, especially when using LPG tanks and open flames at home.

🔥 FIRE SAFETY REMINDERS:

✅ Keep LPG tanks properly closed. Always close the LPG valve when the tank is not in use. Regularly inspect the hose and regulator for cracks, damage, or leaks.
✅ Never leave open flames unattended. Always monitor candles, cooking stoves, and other sources of fire. Keep them away from curtains, paper, and other combustible materials.
✅ Turn off the stove after cooking. Make sure all flames are completely extinguished before leaving the kitchen.
✅ Keep matches and lighters away from children. Store them in a safe place to prevent accidental fires.

✅ Know what to do in case of a gas leak. Never light a match, operate electrical switches, or create sparks. If safe, close the LPG valve, evacuate the area, and seek assistance.

🚨 Fire prevention starts with simple actions and responsible habits. Never underestimate the danger of an unattended flame or an improperly handled LPG tank. A moment of carelessness can put lives and properties at risk

🚬 TIP #1: DISPOSE OF CI******ES PROPERLY!
Never throw cigarette butts carelessly, especially near dry leaves, trash, or other flammable materials. Make sure ci******es are completely extinguished before disposing of them in a proper, non-combustible ashtray or designated container. A small ember can start a big fire!

🔌 TIP #2: UNPLUG APPLIANCES BEFORE LEAVING HOME!
Before leaving your house, check your electrical appliances and unplug those that are not needed. This helps reduce electrical hazards and prevents potential fires caused by faulty appliances or overheating. Always make it a habit to check before you go!

🔥 REMEMBER: FIRE PREVENTION STARTS WITH YOU! Simple safety habits can protect your family, home, and community from the dangers of fire.
