𝟬𝟭 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲-𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚
Fire Safety Inspectors of the Baras Fire Station led by SFO2 Dennis S. Turado, Officer-in-Charge, conducted residential fire safety inspections throughout the station’s Area of Responsibility. The operation made use of POC Body-Worn Cameras (BWC) to uphold transparency and ensure proper observance of standard inspection protocols.
During the activity, personnel carried out thorough residential fire safety inspections to assess the level of safety and preparedness of households within the community. The inspections focused on identifying potential fire hazards, including defective electrical wiring, improper use of extension cords, unsafe cooking practices, and improper storage of flammable substances, with the aim of preventing fire incidents and enhancing public safety.

As part of its continuous fire safety efforts under the Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan, the BFP Baras Fire Station personnel, under the supervision of SFO2 Dennis S Turado, Officer-in-Charge, carried out house-to-house inspections, talakayan at damayang pangkabuhayan and leaflets distribution at Barangay Eastern Poblacion.

These ongoing initiatives aim to raise community awareness on fire prevention, promote safety preparedness, and empower every household and business establishments with the right knowledge to prevent and respond to fire incidents.

On 0950H Personnel of the Baras Fire Station headed by SFO2 Dennis S Turado, Officer-in-Charge, immediately responded to a reported rubbish fire incident at Categorized Waste Facility, Brgy. Abihao, Baras, Catanduanes. Upon receipt of the report, responding personnel promptly proceeded to the location and conducted fire suppression operations to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading.

Through the quick response, coordination, and efficient firefighting operations, the incident was successfully controlled and extinguished without further escalation. They also ensured that the affected area was thoroughly monitored to eliminate possible rekindling and maintain the safety of the community.

The Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed to protecting lives, properties, and the environment through continuous fire safety awareness, preparedness, and emergency response operations.

𝟐𝟔 𝐌𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | Personnel of this station under the supervision of SFO2 Dennis S Turado, Officer-in=-Charge, were deployed during the conduct of the “𝑺𝑰𝑹𝑨𝑴: 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒌𝒂𝒐𝒏 𝑩𝒊𝒌𝒐𝒍𝒏𝒐𝒏” Validation Activity at Binurong Point, Guinsaanan, Baras, Catanduanes to ensure public safety and emergency preparedness throughout the event.

The activity highlighted the rich culinary heritage and local delicacies of the Bicol Region while promoting tourism and cultural appreciation. Deployed personnel also remained alert and coordinated with Baras Municipal Police Station (MPS), PCG Baras Sub-Station, Rural Health Unit (RHU) and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) to help maintain the orderly and safe conduct of the said activity.
