Led by 𝙎𝙁𝙊𝟐 𝘿𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙨 𝙎 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙤, Officer-in-Charge, Fire Safety Inspectors of Baras Fire Station conducted house-to-house residential fire safety inspections across the station’s Area of Responsibility. The inspection team utilized POC Body-Worn Cameras (BWCs) to foster transparency, accountability, and strict observance of established inspection protocols.
Personnel conducted house-to-house fire safety inspections to evaluate the overall safety and preparedness of residences within the community. The activity emphasized the identification of potential fire hazards, including defective electrical wiring, misuse of extension cords, unsafe cooking methods, and improper storage of flammable materials, in support of the Bureau’s fire prevention and public safety efforts. Fire safety information leaflets were also disseminated to residents to strengthen community awareness on fire prevention.

𝟏𝟗 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | As part of its continuing fire prevention and public awareness campaign, personnel of Baras Fire Station under the leadership of 𝑺𝑭𝑶2 𝑫𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒔 𝑺 𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒐, 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓-𝒊𝒏-𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆, conducted distribution of fire safety leaflets to residents and members of the community.

The activity aimed to educate them on basic fire prevention measures, emergency preparedness, and proper use of fire extinguisher ad actions to take during fire incidents. These information materials were disseminated to increase awareness of common fire hazards in homes. Through this initiative, personnel also encouraged residents to regularly inspect their electrical connections, prepare emergency evacuation plans, ensure accessible exits, and keep emergency contact numbers readily available. The distribution of leaflets also served as an effective means of reaching households and reinforcing the importance of fire safety awareness among community members.

Demonstrating its commitment to disaster preparedness and public safety, the Bureau of Fire Protection Baras Fire Station under the supervision of 𝑺𝑭𝑶2 𝑫𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒔 𝑺 𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒐, 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓-𝒊𝒏-𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆, actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).

The activity aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness and response capabilities among government agencies and communities. The drill commenced with the sounding of the alarm, prompting all personnel to immediately perform the prescribed "𝑫𝒖𝒄𝒌, 𝑪𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒅" procedure. This essential safety measure aims to protect individuals from potential injuries caused by falling objects and structural hazards during an earthquake. After the simulated ground shaking stopped, personnel carried out an orderly evacuation to the designated assembly area while observing proper safety protocols and accountability procedures.

𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒐, 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓-𝒊𝒏-𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆, conducted their afternoon Station Fitness Activity.

This activity underscores the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining good physical and mental health as regular exercise not only improves physical performance but also helps reduce stress, enhance focus, and boost morale, enabling firefighters to better cope with the challenges and responsibilities of public safety service.
