𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚, 𝗖𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗘 — The Two-Day Seminar on Enterprise Development for Overseas Workers and Family Members, with the theme, “𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦,” officially commenced today in Silang, Cavite, bringing together OFW Family Circles (OFCs) in CALABARZON for a capacity-building activity focused on entrepreneurship, enterprise development, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The seminar, being held on September 3–4, 2026, aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills in identifying viable business opportunities, developing and managing enterprises, and utilizing their resources productively. It seeks to strengthen their entrepreneurial capacity, promote financial sustainability, and encourage the establishment of sustainable income-generating ventures that can serve as alternative or supplementary sources of livelihood.

Also taking part in the seminar are the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 (𝗗𝗧𝗜), 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘), 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 and 𝗕𝗗𝗢, who are sharing their expertise and insights on business development, financial management, and other relevant strategies to help participants build and sustain their enterprises.

Please be informed that, in consideration of public safety and pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129 issued by the Office of the President, the OWWA Regional Welfare Office IV-A and all provincial and satellite offices in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal will implement the appropriate Alternative Work Arrangement on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The OWWA IV‑A, in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – Lipa Extension Office, brought together OFW Family Circles (OFCs) from Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite for a Financial Literacy Webinar designed to strengthen their knowledge on financial management and investment awareness.

Guided by Atty. EretzIsrel B. Valle, SEC Director, participants learned practical strategies on responsible investing, fraud prevention, and financial discipline. The session offered clear, relatable insights that helped OFWs understand how to protect their hard‑earned resources while exploring opportunities for growth.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office IV‑A, in partnership with PESO San Mateo, facilitated an Organizational Development and Management Training for the Silangan OFW Association at the Senior Citizens Center, San Mateo, Rizal on July 28. The activity was attended by thirty (30) Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

The training focused on strengthening leadership, financial management, and program planning skills to help OFW associations sustain their operations and expand community initiatives. Participants were guided on effective governance practices and strategies for organizational growth.

Through this program, OWWA IV‑A reaffirms its commitment to empowering OFWs and their families by building resilient, well‑managed associations that serve as vital partners in advancing welfare of the OFWs and their families.

On July 27, the OWWA IV‑A, in partnership with PESO San Mateo, conducted a Values Reorientation Seminar at Barangay Guitnang Bayan 1, San Mateo, Rizal. The activity gathered twenty‑eight (28) Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

The seminar highlighted discipline, integrity, and social responsibility as essential values for OFWs in sustaining family unity and community growth. Participants engaged in discussions that reinforced the importance of these values in their daily lives and organizational activities.

Through this initiative, OWWA IV‑A continues to strengthen its advocacy of empowering OFWs and their families by nurturing moral resilience and promoting Filipino values to OFW organizations in CALABARZON.
