Route mapping , coordinates pointing, marking and tagging of stations was concluded on May 17, 2026 by the forest guards of LGU Candelaria, headed by sir MENRO Ryan De Luna, sir Rico Limjuico and TL Peter Manalo.
This activity aims to localize Biodiversity Monitoring System (BMS) on Candelaria forest, forestland and portions included in Protected Areas. BMS ensures regular monitoring on diversed state of the biospecies in the area. In addition, this will provide data on the natural resources in the municipality.
One of these natural resources is a spring called "LAGASLAS" which situated in Barangay Masalukot V. Lagaslas Spring is a natural water source that supplies to different barangays in the municipality of Candelaria and Dolores, Quezon, for years now. Therefore, thru monitoring and data gathering initiatives like this, our natural environment would be saved and preserved.
