In its continuous effort to promote a safer and more informed community, personnel of Inayawan Police Station 7, under the leadership of 𝐏𝐂𝐏𝐓 𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐘 𝐉𝐎𝐇𝐍 𝐀 𝐋𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐍, Officer-In-Charge, conducted Oplan Bandillo at the Public Market of Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City, starting at around 10:30 AM onwards.

The activity focused on strengthening public awareness through the dissemination of important safety reminders and preventive measures among residents, vendors, and market-goers. Information was shared regarding crime prevention, anti-illegal drug advocacy, NTF-ELCAC initiatives, disaster preparedness, climate change awareness, road safety, traffic discipline, and the importance of community vigilance.

Through Oplan Bandillo, Inayawan Police Station 7 continues to foster a stronger partnership with the public by delivering timely information and encouraging everyone to take an active role in maintaining peace, order, and security within the community.

The station remains committed to proactive policing, responsive public service, and collaborative efforts that uphold the safety and welfare of every member of the community.

Strengthening community partnership and promoting a safer environment, personnel of Inayawan Police Station 7, under the leadership of 𝐏𝐂𝐏𝐓 𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐘 𝐉𝐎𝐇𝐍 𝐀 𝐋𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐍, Acting Station Commander, successfully conducted the Safer Cities Initiative in collaboration with the Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSOs) of Barangays Poblacion Pardo, Bulacao, and Inayawan, Cebu City.

The activity commenced at around 10:00 PM and was simultaneously conducted in support of Oplan Bulabog, Oplan Bakal Sita, and Oplan Pakigsandurot, emphasizing the continuous commitment of the station to maintain peace and order, enhance police visibility, and strengthen community engagement within its area of responsibility, particularly in Barangays Cogon Pardo, Poblacion Pardo, and Inayawan.

Through intensified patrol operations, active coordination with local community partners, and vigilant monitoring of public areas and establishments, police personnel ensured the immediate response to possible concerns and promoted a safe and secure environment for residents and business owners.

During the conduct of the activity, the following observations were noted:

🔹 Five (5) individuals were observed engaging in drinking activities in public places.
🔹 Two (2) individuals were observed roaming in public areas without shirts.
🔹 Three (3) minors were monitored outside their residences during the designated monitoring period.

Furthermore, police personnel conducted monitoring and inspection of thirty (30) business establishments to ensure compliance with existing regulations and to encourage a safe, peaceful, and orderly business environment within the community.

In support of maintaining a safe, secure, and peaceful community, Inayawan Police Station 7 continues to strengthen its commitment to the immediate response, prevention, and investigation of incidents that threaten public safety.

Personnel of Inayawan Police Station 7 responded to a reported stabbing incident that transpired in Sitio Lomboy, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City, which resulted in the successful arrest of the suspect through a citizen’s arrest and the prompt intervention of responding police personnel.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was inside a compound when the suspect suddenly approached while allegedly carrying three kitchen knives. The suspect reportedly placed two of the knives on a nearby parked motorcycle before confronting the victim. The suspect then grabbed the victim and allegedly attempted to stab the victim in the neck area. However, the immediate intervention of a witness prevented further harm and helped restrain the situation.

Responding personnel immediately proceeded to the area, secured the scene, and facilitated the proper handling of both the victim and the arrested individual. The victim was brought for necessary assistance, while the suspect was taken into police custody for proper investigation and legal proceedings.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect were three (3) kitchen knives with an approximate length of eight (8) inches, including the handle, which were secured as evidence for documentation and further investigation.

The arrested individual is currently under the custody of Inayawan Police Station 7 while appropriate charges are being prepared and processed in accordance with existing laws and procedures.
