The Dental Fluoride Application Program of Mabalacat City continues to provide essential preventive oral healthcare services to young learners, with the latest activities conducted at the Mamatitang and San Joaquin Child Development Centers. This initiative aims to protect children's teeth from tooth decay while promoting proper oral hygiene practices during the crucial early years of their development.

Led by Dra. Leica Marie Hipolito, City Dentist II, together with the dedicated Dental Team of the City Health Office, the activity provided ECCD learners with fluoride application as an important preventive measure against dental caries. Fluoride helps strengthen tooth enamel and provides added protection against cavities, helping children maintain stronger and healthier teeth as they grow.

In addition to the fluoride application, the ECCD learners were also provided with oral health kits containing toothpaste and toothbrushes. These kits serve as practical tools that encourage children to practice proper oral hygiene at home and in their daily routines. Providing children with their own dental care materials also helps make toothbrushing a more engaging and enjoyable experience while reinforcing the importance of taking responsibility for their personal hygiene.

Through programs such as this, Mabalacat City continues to invest in the health, development, and future of its youngest residents. The Dental Fluoride Application Program is more than a preventive dental service—it is an investment in building healthy habits, preventing dental problems, and helping children enjoy stronger teeth, healthier smiles, and a brighter start in life.

The continued distribution of school supplies and a pack of rice to our ECCD (Early Childhood Care and Development) learners and their parents, through the support of Hon. Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., is a meaningful initiative that reflects a strong commitment to the education, welfare, and well-being of young children and their families.

As the distribution continues, we remain hopeful that initiatives like this will inspire greater participation in early childhood education and strengthen the partnership among families, schools, barangay officials, and the community. Every school supply provided, every family assisted, and every child encouraged represents another important step toward building a stronger foundation for our children's future.

Learning continues even at home! Through our Online Kamustahan, our ECCD workers connected with our little learners and their parents to check on their well-being and monitor their learning through practice sets and simple activities done at home.

𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬 | Ceremonial Signing of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) System Act (RA 12199)

A milestone for Early Childhood Care and Development in the Philippines! The Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 12199, or the ECCD System Act, were officially signed today, marking a significant step toward strengthening the country's ECCD System and ensuring that every Filipino child receives the best possible start in life.

The ceremonial signing was led by the ECCD Council Co-Chairpersons, Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Juanito Victor C. Remulla and Department of Education Secretary Juan Edgardo M. Angara, together with ECCD Council Vice Chairperson and Executive Director Dr. Teresita G. Inciong. Also present at the ceremony were Representative Roman T. Romulo, one of the principal authors of the law; EDCOM II Executive Director Karol Mark Yee; members of the ECCD Council Governing Board; and representatives from partner agencies.

As the nation embarks on this new chapter in Early Childhood Care and Development, the ECCD Council remains steadfast in working with its partners to ensure the effective implementation of Republic Act No. 12199, building a stronger, more responsive ECCD System for every Filipino child.

The Dental Fluoride Application Program successfully continued at the Duquit I, Duquit II, and Pila Child Development Centers, providing young learners with added protection for stronger, healthier smiles.

Led by Dra. Leica Marie Hipolito, City Dentist II, the activity forms part of Mabalacat City's Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) health programs, which promote preventive oral healthcare among children.

The celebration of Nutrition Month was successfully conducted among the learners of the Poblacion, Pineda, Bical, Clark, Duquit I, Duquit II, Tabun I, Sta. Maria Libutad, Macapagal Village, and Camachiles Phase 2 Child Development Centers to promote awareness and understanding of the importance of proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and a healthy lifestyle among children, parents, and the community.

The activity aimed to emphasize the significance of eating a balanced and nutritious diet and developing healthy habits at an early age. Through various activities and information-sharing sessions, the participants were encouraged to make healthy food choices and recognize the importance of proper nutrition in the growth and development of children.

The celebration also provided an opportunity for the Child Development Workers, parents, and community members to work together in promoting nutrition and wellness. The participants actively took part in the different activities prepared for the occasion, which helped strengthen their knowledge and appreciation of the importance of proper nutrition.

Overall, the Nutrition Month celebration was successfully implemented and achieved its objective of raising awareness on the importance of good nutrition. It served as a reminder that proper nutrition is essential in building healthy, active, and productive individuals and communities.

As part of our commitment to promoting the health and well-being of children enrolled in the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Centers, and in cooperation with the City Health Office, a Dental Fluoride Application and Dental Check-up activity was conducted for the ECCD learners of Tabun I and Sitio Dungan Child Development Centers.

This initiative aimed to assess the oral health condition of the children, provide preventive dental care through fluoride application, and promote proper oral hygiene practices at an early age.

During the activity, Dra. Leticia Marie Hipolito, City Dentist II, together with Ms. Arlene Gantan, Ana Famil De Guzman, and Ariel Sunga, performed oral examinations to identify common dental concerns and provided fluoride treatment to help strengthen the children's teeth and reduce the risk of tooth decay. The children also received age-appropriate guidance on proper toothbrushing techniques and the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene.

This annual health initiative plays a vital role in safeguarding the oral health of ECCD learners, contributing to their overall growth, development, and readiness for learning. Through the continued collaboration of healthcare providers from the City Health Office and ECCD personnel, the program ensures that young children receive essential preventive dental services that support their long-term health and well-being.
