The Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information System Command (CGWCEISC) conducted its Mental Health Wellness Session for the month of July for the deployed Angels of the Sea (AOS) personnel on 30 July 2026 at the HCGWCEISC Conference Room.

The session was facilitated by LTJG Jaje Angelika A. Podrido MAC PCG and LTJG Jannica Rose T. Estrella MAC PCG from the Coast Guard Medical Dispensary, NHQ-PCG Neuro-Psychological Assessment Department, who served as guest lecturers. During the session, they discussed the importance of recognizing stress and its effects on mental health, developing healthy coping mechanisms and building resilience in the face of operational challenges

Designed specifically for the deployed Angels of the Sea, who serve as female radio operators supporting extended maritime patrol operations in the vicinity of Bajo de Masinloc, the session sought to strengthen their psychological well-being and operational readiness. Given the demands of prolonged deployment, continuous communication responsibilities, and extended separation from their families, the activity provided participants with practical techniques to manage stress, maintain a positive mindset, and enhance resilience while carrying out their mission.

The conduct of regular Mental Health Wellness Sessions highlights CGWCEISC's continued efforts to safeguard not only the operational capability but also the holistic well-being of its personnel. By promoting a resilient, mentally prepared, and mission-focused workforce, the Command ensures that its Angels of the Sea remain capable of delivering reliable communications support and contributing effectively to the success of maritime security operations.

Designed to develop strategic cyber leaders, the course focused on cyber leadership, policymaking, governance, and organizational resilience, equipping participants with the knowledge and competencies needed to address emerging cyber threats and strengthen cybersecurity initiatives within their respective organizations.

The ceremony was graced by Police Lieutenant General Ricardo F. De Leon (Ret), DPSSG, PhD, Director General of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), together with PBGEN Ferdinando G. Sevilla (Ret), DPSSG, President of the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC), who underscored the importance of strategic leadership and whole-of-nation collaboration in advancing the country's cybersecurity posture.

Further highlighting their excellence, a PCG team composed of CGWCEISC and CG Cyber Command officersโ€”Commodore Dolina PCG, Captain Maria Ronalyn F. Abu PCG, Commander Ma. Dulce Erika Alcaraz PCG, and Lieutenant Commander Daryl Cuaresma PCG, alongside Rear Admiral Roben N. De Guzman PCG (former Deputy Commander of CGWCEISC, now Commander of the Coast Guard Civil Relations Service)โ€”earned Bronze Recognition for their cyber project proposal, "PCG Cyber Readiness Assessment Framework." This strategic initiative aims to enhance the organization's cybersecurity preparedness, governance, and operational resilience.

As they return to their respective offices and commands, the graduates carry with them the responsibility to transform knowledge into action by strengthening cybersecurity governance, shaping sound policies, and fostering a culture of cyber resilience. Empowered by the course, they are challenged to make a meaningful difference in their organizations and contribute to building a safer, more secure, and cyber-resilient nation.

๐ˆ๐ง ๐๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ: The Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information System Command (CGWCEISC) through the CGWCEIS- Headquarters Support Group (HSG) conducted a Troops Information and Education (TI&E) activity for its personnel to strengthen awareness and understanding of the Command's Watch, Quarter, and Station Bill (WQSB) on 23 July 2026 at Headquarters CGWCEISC.

The TI&E served as an essential platform to orient and educate personnel on the Command's emergency organization, ensuring that every member fully understands their designated emergency stations, assigned duties, and specific responsibilities during various contingencies. Through a comprehensive discussion of the WQSB, participants gained a clearer appreciation of the importance of coordinated actions, discipline, and adherence to established emergency procedures in safeguarding lives, protecting government assets, and sustaining mission continuity

Such efforts ensures that CGWCEISC personnel remain capable of executing their responsibilities with confidence, contributing to a swift, organized, and effective response to emergencies and other operational contingencies.
