ADB research suggests that shortages and firm-level barriers to adoption constrain structural transformation that will enable workers and firms to move into more productive activities.

The digital connectivity component of the Solutions for Last-Mile Schools in COVID-19 Project provided satellite-based connectivity, school networks, and devices to 21 beneficiary schools in four Philippine provinces.

At the turnover ceremony, ADB highlighted the outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations from the Last-Mile School pilot to support digital education in the country and more inclusive, future-ready for learners in underserved communities.

The Republic of has a state-backed program targeting Koreans aged 19 to 34 as well as other asset-building programs intended for low-income young adults employed in small and medium-sized enterprises. The programs aim to help young people accumulate safe and close the generational gap.

In Bangladesh’s coastal towns, cyclones and prolonged flooding frequently damage drainage systems, inundate pit latrines, and affect quality through saline intrusion.

An ADB project built new and improved drainage, 22 multipurpose cyclone shelters, and 103 community latrines that incorporated projections in their design. It installed or upgraded more than 175 kilometers of pipes, connected poor communities to the , raised the quality of drinking water, and lowered the incidence of waterborne diseases.
