KMME-MME Online 2026 Launches – R4B Batch 2

The KMME-MME Online Program officially welcomes 48 mentees from MIMAROPA (Region IV-B) as they begin their mentorship journey toward business growth, innovation, and resilience.

The virtual launch was graced by DTI-ROG Undersecretary Blesila A. Lantayona, DTI R4B Regional Director EnP. Amormio CJS Benter, CESE, and PCE-Go Negosyo Executive Director Anthony Patrick Chua, who shared inspiring messages for the mentees.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) extends its congratulations to Lionheart Farms of Palawan for receiving multiple awards at the 2026 KATHA Award for Food.

Lionheart Farms’ The Power of Slow carbonated coconut flower nectar drink won the Best of Philippine Food Innovation award for beverages, while its Cocoes Coconut Aminos Crema Balsamico won in the processed fruits and vegetables category, including sauces and condiments.

The KATHA Award for Food recognizes innovative, award-winning Philippine food products at IFEX Philippines.

On May 15, 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) MIMAROPA participated as a resource organization during the Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperatives' (PFCCO) Education Forum, held in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

DTI Palawan Provincial Director Hazel Salvador facilitated a discussion on the initiatives of the agency in supporting the growth of cooperatives through technology and digital transformation.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | 𝐃𝐓𝐈 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧, through Negosyo Center Palawan: Balabac, in partnership with the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐜, successfully conducted an Entrepreneurial Training for seaweed farmers on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟓-𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at Barangay Sebaring and Sitio Matanguli, Barangay Bancalaan, Balabac, Palawan. The activity gathered seaweed farmers from the community, most of whom are beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

The training focused on strengthening participants’ entrepreneurial mindset through discussions on basic business awareness, financial management, and income opportunities related to seaweed farming. The initiative aimed to empower local seaweed farmers by encouraging value-adding activities and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities that can help improve their economic condition and productivity.

Through continuous partnership and community-based initiatives, DTI remains committed to supporting the growth and development of local livelihoods in Balabac, Palawan.
