PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — The Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO), in coordination with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Palawan Provincial Field Unit (PFU), successfully arrested a Most Wanted Person ranked No. 9 at the provincial level in Palawan during a joint operation at about 3:30 PM on September 5, 2026, in Barangay San Manuel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

The operation was conducted by the Tracker Team of the CIDG Palawan PFU, as the lead unit, in coordination with personnel of Police Station 1 of the PPCPO.

The arrested individual, a 45-year-old male and resident of Barangay San Manuel, Puerto Princesa City, was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated August 5, 2026, issued by Hon. Panfilo Intud Sala, Jr., Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 165, Brooke’s Point, Palawan.

The warrant was issued in connection with a case for Violation of Section 5(i) of Republic Act No. 9262, otherwise known as the “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004,” docketed under Criminal Case No. 27820, with a recommended bail of Php 120,000.00.

Following his arrest, the arrested individual was placed under the custody of the CIDG Palawan PFU and will be presented before the issuing court for proper disposition.

PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO, City Director of the PPCPO, underscored the importance of sustained coordination among law enforcement units in apprehending wanted persons and ensuring that they are brought before the proper courts.

“Every successful arrest of a wanted person is a step toward a safer community. We will continue to strengthen our coordination with our partner law enforcement agencies and intensify our efforts to locate and apprehend wanted individuals in accordance with the law,” PCOL TEMPLO said.

The successful arrest reflects the continuing commitment of the PPCPO and its partner law enforcement units to intensify the campaign against wanted persons, uphold the rule of law, and contribute to maintaining peace and order in Puerto Princesa City and the province of Palawan.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, PALAWAN — The Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO), under the leadership of PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO, City Director, in collaboration with the PPCPO City Advisory Council (CAC) and Palawan Precious Life Foundation, Inc., successfully conducted the “Takbo Laban sa Kriminalidad: Tandikan Fun Run 2.0” in support of the 2026 National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) Celebration on September 5, 2026, at about 4:00 AM.

The activity was participated in by representatives and personnel from various government agencies, non-government organizations (NGOs), running clubs, and community sectors, demonstrating a unified commitment to crime prevention, public safety, physical fitness, and stronger police-community partnerships.

The activity commenced with the assembly of participants, followed by the invocation and the formal opening of the program. PLTCOL ALONSO J TABI JR, Deputy City Director for Operations (DCDO), delivered the welcome remarks and acknowledged the participating agencies, organizations, runners, and distinguished guests.

As part of the preparations, PMAJ ERICKSON A GO, Acting Chief of the City Community Affairs Development Unit (CCADU), presented the safety reminders and mechanics of the fun run, emphasizing the importance of discipline, preparedness, and strict compliance with established safety protocols.

The PPCPO Dance Group then led the participants in a warm-up exercise and Zumba session to ensure adequate physical preparation before the race. Participants were subsequently organized according to their respective categories in preparation for the official start.

The fun run featured 10K, 5K, and 3K race categories, which were conducted in an orderly and systematic manner. Corresponding cutoff times were implemented to ensure the safety of the participants and the efficient management of the event.

After completing their respective races, participants proceeded to the designated finish area and availed themselves of the food booths prepared for the activity. The event culminated in the awarding ceremony, recognizing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placers in the 10K, 5K, and 3K categories. Special awards were likewise presented to the oldest runner, youngest runner, and running club with the largest delegation in Puerto Princesa City.

PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO emphasized that activities such as the Tandikan Fun Run provide an avenue for the police and the community to come together, not only to promote a healthy and active lifestyle but also to strengthen cooperation in preventing crime and maintaining peace and order.

“Crime prevention is a shared responsibility. Through activities that bring the police and the community together, we strengthen our partnership, build trust, and encourage everyone to take an active role in keeping our community safe and secure,” PCOL TEMPLO said.

The successful conduct of the “Takbo Laban sa Kriminalidad: Tandikan Fun Run 2.0” reflects the collective commitment of the PPCPO and its stakeholders to advance community-oriented policing, strengthen inter-agency collaboration, and promote active public participation in crime prevention initiatives.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — The Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO), in coordination with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and other partner agencies, arrested an individual and seized an estimated Php368,000.00 worth of smuggled ci******es during a buy-bust operation at about 4:45 PM on September 2, 2026, at Barangay Luzviminda, Puerto Princesa City.

The operation was conducted by personnel of Police Station 3, led by PCPT JUSTINE KENNETH A DALION, Acting Station Commander, together with elements of the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC), personnel of the Bureau of Customs, barangay officials of Barangay Luzviminda, and a representative from the media.

During the operation, an undercover operative successfully purchased one (1) box of ci******es from the suspect in exchange for Php20,000.00, leading to the latter’s arrest.

A subsequent search of the arrested individual’s possession, control, and custody resulted in the recovery of 17 additional boxes of ci******es, consisting of nine (9) boxes of Red Berlin and eight (8) boxes of White Oris, for a total of 18 boxes of assorted ci******es, including the item purchased during the operation. The total estimated street value of the seized contraband was placed at Php368,000.00.

The inventory of the confiscated items was conducted at the scene in the presence of the required insulating witnesses. The arrested individual was informed of the specific violation and apprised of the constitutional rights.

The arrested individual is currently under the custody of Police Station 3, PPCPO, for documentation and proper disposition. Appropriate charges for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10863, otherwise known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, are being prepared in accordance with existing laws and procedures.

PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO, City Director of the PPCPO, commended the operating personnel and partner agencies for the successful operation.

“We will continue to intensify our efforts against smuggling and the illegal circulation of untaxed and unauthorized goods. This accomplishment shows that through strong inter-agency cooperation and decisive law enforcement, we can protect government revenues, legitimate businesses, and the consuming public.”

The PPCPO reiterates its commitment to working closely with the Bureau of Customs, local government units, and other law enforcement partners in curbing smuggling and other violations of customs and trade laws within Puerto Princesa City.

The public is likewise encouraged to report information concerning the movement or sale of suspected smuggled goods to the nearest police station or appropriate government authorities.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — Joint personnel of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) arrested the No. 2 Most Wanted Person at the city level during a law enforcement operation conducted at about 4:00 PM on September 1, 2026, at the Irawan Transport Terminal, Barangay Irawan, South National Highway, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

The operation was conducted by joint personnel of Police Station 2 (lead unit) and the Regional Intelligence Team–Puerto Princesa City (RIT-PPC).

The wanted individual was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated October 2, 2024, issued by the Family Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 13, for violation of Section 5(i) of Republic Act No. 9262, otherwise known as the “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.”

The warrant was issued in connection with Criminal Case Nos. 42312 and 42313, with no recommended bail.

Following the successful operation, the arrested individual was brought to Police Station 2, PPCPO, and is currently under police custody for proper documentation and disposition in accordance with established legal procedures.

PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO, City Director of the PPCPO, commended the operating personnel for their successful accomplishment and emphasized the importance of sustained efforts in locating and apprehending wanted persons.

On August 28, 2026, the PPCPO conducted its Turnover of Office and Assumption Ceremony, formally marking the transition from PCOL DAVID A TOCTOCAN JR, outgoing Officer-in-Charge, to PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO, who assumed as the new City Director.

The PPCPO is aware of social media content suggesting a connection between the leadership transition and the recent enforcement operation involving the seizure of approximately ₱6.19 million worth of alleged unauthorized cooking oil products and vehicles in Barangay Bacungan, Puerto Princesa City.

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — The Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) formally welcomed its new City Director, PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO, during the Turnover of Office and Assumption Ceremony held on August 28, 2026, at the PRO MIMAROPA Hinirang Hall, Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Brgy. Suqui, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

The ceremony marked the formal transition of leadership from PCOL DAVID A TOCTOCAN JR, outgoing Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the PPCPO, to PCOL VINCENT C TEMPLO, who officially assumed command as the new City Director.

The ceremony was presided over by PBGEN CHRISTOPHER R DELA CRUZ, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, and was attended by police officers and personnel, guests, and various stakeholders.

The program commenced with an invocation led by Rev. Fr. PCPT JAYROM D RAMIREZ, Regional Pastoral Officer, followed by the welcome remarks delivered by PCOL RONIE S BACUEL, Chief of the Regional Staff (CRS).

The formal reading of the Termination and Designation Orders was conducted by PCOL TIMOTEO L ESPIRITU JR, Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division (RPRMD), signifying the official change in leadership of the PPCPO.
