Mit viel Freude, Teamgeist und jeder Menge guter Laune hat der Pop Chor der Deutschen Internationale Schule in Doha ein Musikvideo zum Song “I’m Still Standing” an den schönsten Sehenswürdigkeiten Katars aufgenommen.
Mit diesem Projekt möchten wir den starken Zusammenhalt unserer Schulgemeinschaft feiern und allen Schülerinnen und Schülern, Eltern sowie Lehrerinnen und und Lehrern schöne, erholsame Sommerferien wünschen.

With lots of joy, team spirit, and plenty of good energy, the Pop Choir of the German International School in Doha filmed a music video for the song “I’m Still Standing” at some of Qatar’s most beautiful landmarks.
With this project, we would like to celebrate the strong sense of community at our school and wish all students, parents, and teachers a wonderful, relaxing summer break.

„Give this to a Teacher who …“-Challenge
Frau Dalipovic und die Schülerinnen und Schüler des 8. Jahrgangs haben im Rahmen eines Projekts die „Give this to a Teacher who …“-Challenge durchgeführt. Mit viel Freude und Wertschätzung wurden dabei positive Botschaften innerhalb der Schulgemeinschaft weitergegeben.

Abschlussfeier der Klasse 10 – Ein besonderer Meilenstein

Mit einer feierlichen Abschlussveranstaltung verabschiedete die Deutsche Internationale Schule in Doha ihre Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klasse 10. Gemeinsam mit Eltern, Lehrkräften, Gästen, dem deutschen Botschafter in Katar sowie Schulleiter Herrn Darmstädter blickten die Absolventinnen und Absolventen auf eine ereignisreiche Schulzeit voller Herausforderungen, Erfolge und persönlicher Entwicklung zurück.

In festlicher Atmosphäre wurden die erreichten Abschlüsse gewürdigt und die Leistungen der Schülerinnen und Schüler gefeiert. Die wertschätzenden Worte von Botschafter Herrn Owcza, Schulleiter Herrn Darmstädter und Klassenlehrer Herrn Namiri unterstrichen die besondere Bedeutung dieses Anlasses und würdigten die Leistungen der jungen Absolventinnen und Absolventen. Musikalische Beiträge, bewegende Reden sowie viele schöne Erinnerungen machten den Abend zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis für die gesamte Schulgemeinschaft.

Die Abschlussfeier war nicht nur ein Rückblick auf die vergangenen Jahre, sondern auch ein Ausblick auf neue Wege und Chancen, die nun vor den Jugendlichen liegen. Wir sind stolz auf unsere Absolventinnen und Absolventen und wünschen ihnen für ihren weiteren Lebensweg viel Erfolg, Mut und Freude.

Graduation Ceremony for Class 10 – A Special Milestone
The German International School in Doha bid farewell to its Class 10 students with a festive graduation ceremony. Together with parents, teachers, the German Ambassador to Qatar, and Principal Mr. Darmstädter, the graduates looked back on an eventful school experience full of challenges, successes, and personal growth.
In a festive atmosphere, the students’ academic achievements were recognized and their accomplishments celebrated. The words of appreciation from Ambassador Mr. Owcza, Principal Mr. Darmstädter, and classroom teacher Mr. Namiri underscored the special significance of this occasion and honored the achievements of the young graduates. Musical performances, moving speeches, and many fond memories made the evening an unforgettable experience for the entire school community.
The graduation ceremony was not only a look back at the past years but also a look ahead to the new paths and opportunities that now lie before these young people. We are proud of our graduates and wish them much success, courage, and joy as they continue on their life’s journey.

On 21 May, the UDST campus became a meeting point for students, parents, educators, diplomats, and industry leaders — all gathered for the German School Presentation Day, hosted by The German Mittelstand (BVMW), UDST, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Doha, and German School Doha.
Students from German School Doha took center stage, presenting their internship experiences and personal reflections on how practical exposure shapes their academic and professional futures. A special address by student Mubarak Al Nasser inspired attendees with a message about the power of internships, innovation, and international learning.
The day also included an institutional presentation by UDST and a guided campus tour — connecting prospective students with the programmes, facilities, and opportunities that await them.
Events like this are a testament to the growing collaboration between German and Qatari institutions in education, innovation, and youth development. As our Liaison Director Nizar Maarouf put it: investing in young talent is one of the greatest investments in the future of German-Qatari trade relations.

Die Geige zu Gast in der 2. Klasse
Die Schülerinnen und Schüler der 2. Klasse durften einen besonderen Besuch erleben: Frau Bekirova kam zu uns, um die Geige vorzustellen. Mit großer Begeisterung erfuhren die Kinder, wie eine Geige entsteht, lauschten dem wunderschönen Spiel von Frau Bekirova und konnten das Instrument anschließend sogar selbst ausprobieren. Vielen Dank für diesen musikalischen und spannenden Einblick!

The Violin as a Guest in the 2nd Class
The class 2 students experienced a special visit: Ms. Bekirova came to our school to introduce the violin. The children listened with great enthusiasm as she explained how a violin is made, enjoyed Ms. Bekirova’s beautiful playing, and even got to try playing the instrument themselves afterward. Thank you so much for this musical and exciting experience!

Ein besonderer Abschluss an der DIS Doha
Der Abschluss unserer IBDP-Absolventinnen und -Absolventen stand in diesem Jahr unter außergewöhnlichen Umständen. Durch die Aussetzung der regulären Abschlussprüfungen verlief das Ende ihrer Schulzeit anders als ursprünglich erwartet. Da nicht alle an der Graduation teilnehmen konnten, fand die Feier in einem kleinen, persönlichen Rahmen in unserer Bibliothek statt.
Gemeinsam mit Eltern, Lehrkräften und der Schulleitung blickten unsere Absolventinnen und Absolventen auf zwei intensive und prägende Jahre zurück. Beim anschließenden Austausch war Raum für persönliche Gespräche, gemeinsame Erinnerungen und gute Wünsche für den weiteren Weg.
Wir wünschen unseren Absolventinnen und Absolventen von Herzen alles Gute für ihren nächsten Lebensabschnitt.

A Special Graduation at DIS Doha
This year’s graduation for our IBDP candidates took place under exceptional circumstances. Due to the suspension of the regular final examinations, the end of their school journey unfolded differently than originally expected. As not all graduates were able to attend, the celebration was held in a small and personal setting in our school library.
Together with parents, teachers, and school leadership, our graduates took the opportunity to reflect on two intense and formative years. The gathering also provided space for personal conversations, shared memories, and warm wishes for the journey ahead.
We wish our graduates every success, happiness, and confidence as they begin their next chapter.
