Located at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, Dyess Family Homes is a residential community leasing single-family and townhome-style homes exclusively to active-duty families. Our rental homes at Dyess Air Force Base feature a wide variety of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom floor plans, including both single-family and townhome styles. Residents also enjoy the community’s many amenities, including multiple playgrounds, pool, splash park and community center and easy access to all Dyess Air Force Base facilities. Location is everything and we put you at the center of it all—from some of the region’s best hiking and biking to the ample shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation available in historic Abilene.

Dyess Family Homes Residents,

We are providing an additional update regarding the ongoing valve testing in preparation for next week’s scheduled water line work.

The Civil Engineer Operations team will need to temporarily interrupt water service tomorrow, Friday, October 2, beginning at approximately 9:15 AM. Water service is anticipated to be restored by approximately 10:15 AM.

This additional testing will allow the team to evaluate an alternate set of valves and confirm proper isolation ahead of Tuesday’s scheduled replacement. The goal is to ensure the upcoming work can be completed safely while limiting the number of homes affected as much as possible.

Water Service Details:
• Date: Friday, October 2
• Time: Approximately 9:15 AM–10:15 AM
• Estimated Duration: Approximately 1 hour
• Purpose: Valve testing in preparation for Tuesday’s scheduled water line work
