* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers,

Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry,

Why is it so important to pay your fire dues? This is one of the many expenses that comes with running a fire department. We have to maintain our own insurance which comes directly out of our fire due payments. We do not have city, county, or state funds being provided to us to pay for these bills.

Thank you for your support...it means our survival and us being here when you need us.

When volunteer firefighters in Lipscomb received a medical call Friday, they couldn’t simply climb into a city vehicle and respond.

Instead, they loaded their gear into personal vehicles and headed out.

The unusual scene is one of the most visible consequences of a growing crisis facing the small Jefferson County town: Lipscomb has been operating without municipal insurance for more than a month.

I’ve read a lot of comments over the past few days with people speculating on what caused the tragic situation that unfolded with Kyle Busch, and I think a lot of it came from people not fully understanding just how serious this really was.

Now that his official cause of passing has been revealed as severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, I wanted to share this graphic to help break it down a little more.

Something that starts out feeling like a normal sickness, sinus issue, cold, or “I’ll be fine in a couple days” type deal can turn serious a lot faster than most people realize.

I’ll be honest, I’m guilty of it myself. I think a lot of us are, especially guys. We get sick and think we can just tough it out, keep going, keep working, keep pushing, and eventually it’ll pass.

But this has been a scary reminder that none of us are invincible🥺

If you’re feeling under the weather and something doesn’t feel right, please go get checked. If you’re having trouble breathing, getting worse quickly, dealing with chest pain, confusion, extreme weakness, high fever, chills, or just feel like your body is telling you something is wrong, please seek treatment🙏

Prayers continue for Kyle’s family, friends, fans, and everyone who loved him. What an awful, heartbreaking reminder of how fragile life truly is and how something that seems so harmless can be so tragic😢

Thank you for all of our neighbors who came out today to our car wash and yard sale. We enjoyed meeting everyone and, even though it was hard work, it made us feel good to see our neighbors leaving with nice clean cars.

We would love to be able to tell you how many cars we washed but we really don't know....most everyone that got their car washed also gave additional donations beyond the recommended $10. We are so thankful for everyone making this a successful fund raiser for the department as this money goes right back into the operating funds budget. We also had three neighbors come by and pay their 2026-2027 fire dues which goes right back into the fire department.

Thank you all for your support and remember, we are here when you need us!!!
