The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission was honored to join WebstaurantStore and the Clark Associates Charitable Foundation this morning at The Hope Center for a special check presentation celebrating a $200,000 donation!
This investment will fund a brand-new training kitchen at The Hope Center, giving residents a hands-on path into the food service industry. Graduates of the program will walk away with real, transferable skills for jobs at restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools and beyond, opening the door to stable careers and opportunities.
Beyond its culinary program, The Hope Center offers hands-on training in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, construction, plumbing, sheetrock installation, and sewing, helping strengthen the local workforce and connect individuals with career opportunities across a variety of industries.
We heard powerful remarks from Hope Center leaders Corey Eason and Ken Bevel, Dougherty County Commissioners Anthony Jones and Clinton Johnson, City of Albany Commissioner Chad Warbington, and guest speaker Georgia Commissioner of Labor Bàrbara Rivera Holmes. We also enjoyed a tour of the incredible facility.
Investments like this strengthen our community and support the vital work happening right here in Albany. Thank you, WebstaurantStore, for your continued commitment to Dougherty County! 💚
