Raise the Region 2026 was one for the books!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to honor Mark Eagan and Mona Golub as our Beacon of Light Honorees. Seeing so many friends, neighbors, and community leaders come together made the day even more special.

For decades, Mark and Mona have given their time, talent, and leadership to make the Capital Region stronger for all of us. They show us what it means to live for the sake of others, and they light the way for our whole community.

Their work is a reminder of why the nonprofit and impact sector matters so much. Nonprofits are the neighbors who feed families, support students, care for our seniors, and bring people together through arts and culture. They fill gaps, spark opportunity, and make the Capital Region a place where people can thrive. Philanthropy, business, and community partnerships help make that work possible, and this room was proof of the good we share.

Since 1968, the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region has worked alongside donors and partners to strengthen our community for today and for generations to come.

Last week, CFGCR team members Mindy Derosia, Arianna Bullock, and Ava Bashant had the pleasure of attending the Shero Fund's Women + Wealth event.

Powerful panel discussions reminded us that women are risk masterful, not risk averse. The energy in the room was inspiring, and we're grateful for the connections built, the wisdom shared, and the reminder that none of us get where we're going alone.
