Half of all New York households are now eligible for relief through the Energy Affordability Program (EAP), which provides customers with utility bill discounts they can count on each month.

The NYS Tax Department honored our 40 colleagues whose lives were taken by the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Acting Commissioner Amanda Hiller and Deputy Commissioner John Harford were joined by AFT President Randi Weingarten, PEF President Wayne Spence, CSEA Local President Felicia McCullough, PEF Representative Conrad Davis, and family, friends, and coworkers of deceased.

We join with others around the world to commemorate the lives lost 25 years ago on September 11th.

The attack on the World Trade Center’s South Tower, which was home to our Manhattan Office, took forty of our Tax Department colleagues.

Today we remember, reflect, and honor the friends and coworkers lost, as well as the acts of heroism and generosity that flourished.
