πŸš’ HYDRANT TESTING HAS BEGUN πŸš’

The Shannon Hills Fire Department has officially begun fire hydrant testing throughout the city. During this process, some residents may notice temporary dirty, rusty, or discolored water. If this happens, simply run your faucet for a few minutes until the water becomes clear again.

Hydrant testing is a very important part of maintaining our fire protection system and helps us keep our ISO rating as low as possible β€” which can help keep homeowners insurance costs down for our citizens.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while we complete this important yearly requirement to help protect our community. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸš’ PUBLIC NOTICE – HYDRANT TESTING πŸš’

The Shannon Hills Fire Department would like to inform all residents on the east side of Vimy Ridge that we will begin fire hydrant testing on Monday, May 11th.

This is a critical operation that helps ensure our hydrants are fully operational and capable of delivering the water supply needed during emergencies.

Why this matters:
Hydrant testing plays a major role in maintaining our ISO (Insurance Services Office) rating, which directly impacts homeowner insurance rates. Keeping our ISO rating low helps keep your insurance costs as low as possible.

What to expect:

* Temporary discoloration (rusty or cloudy water) may occur
* If this happens, simply run your water (sink or bathtub) until it clears
* Your water will remain safe to use

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important work to better protect our community.

04/29/2026

The Shannon Hills Fire Department would like to inform the residents of the Agua Blanca Subdivision that fire hydrants in your area were flowed this afternoon. This was done to gather necessary information for developers as they continue progress and improvements within the neighborhood.

As a result, you may notice your water appearing rusty or muddy. This is normal after hydrant operations. If this occurs, simply run cold water from a sink or bathtub for a few minutes until it becomes clear.

Your water remains safe to use.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to support the continued development and safety of your community.

πŸš’πŸ”₯ COMMUNITY INTEREST POST πŸ”₯πŸš’

The Shannon Hills Fire Department is exploring the idea of hosting a Fish Fry Fundraiser, and we want to hear from YOU!

As a volunteer fire department, we rely heavily on community support and fundraising efforts to help supplement our funding. These funds go directly toward essential equipment, training, and resources that allow us to continue protecting and serving our community at the highest level.

We’re considering hosting an All-You-Can-Eat Fish Dinner sometime between July and September, and we’d love to know:
πŸ‘‰ Would you and your family attend?
πŸ‘‰ What days/times work best for you?
πŸ‘‰ Would you be interested in helping or sponsoring?

Your feedback will help us make this event the best it can be!
