📚🍂September’s Display is All About Library Card Sign-Up Month! 🍂📚

Our main adult book display is celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month with books and items all about reading, books, and the library! 📖✨

But wait… there’s more! The top of the display features some of our Library of Things items, because the library has WAY more to check out than just books!

There is also the Library Card Tree! 🌳 It may look a bit bare right now, but that’s where YOU come in! Every time someone signs up for a library card this month, we’ll add a leaf to the tree. 🍃

🌞🪨 A rock-solid thank you to Martina Hahn! 🪨🌞

Thank you to everyone who joined us to explore the fascinating story behind Michigan’s famous Petoskey Stone! From the legend of Chief Pet-O-Sega to the science behind those iconic sunburst patterns, we learned that there’s WAY more to these little rocks than meets the eye.

We loved discovering the connections between Michigan’s natural history, Indigenous heritage, and the stories written right into the stones around us.

Thanks for helping us shine a little brighter!
