So everyone impacted by cancer receives the support they want and need at every phase of their experience. The Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor (formerly The Wellness Community of Southeast Michigan) provides free support, education and hope to all people touched by cancer. The Cancer Support Community (CSC) offers people a "home away from home" in a comfortable setting, and a chance

to connect with others who are dealing with similar cancer issues. All programs and activities offered at the center are free of charge, and include:

Support. Support groups are available for cancer survivors and their loved ones. All are professionally facilitated, and offer the opportunity to connect and learn from one another. Healthy Lifestyle. Stress management classes such as meditation, and exercise classes like yoga and tai chi can encourage relaxation and improved health. These classes meet weekly. Cooking classes teach nutritional information of benefit to people with cancer, while experimenting with new recipes. Workshops led by experts on a variety of topics provide opportunities to acquire tools, information about cancer, along with techniques to learn how to be an active participant in your cancer journey. Social Support. Social gatherings open to survivors and their loved ones offer a chance to enjoy camaraderie and friendship. We provide the space, you provide the conversation! Resource Referral. CSC maintains a library of information as well as help connecting with the resources you need.

🎨 Chalk Art at Island Park
Create alongside internationally acclaimed sidewalk artist David Zinn as he shares his techniques for bringing chalk art to life. All supplies are provided, and all ages are welcome!

Program Highlight:
Join us Wednesday for a free virtual workshop with Catherine Van Poznak, MD, of Michigan Medicine, as she discusses the important connection between bone health and breast cancer. Topics will include low bone mass, osteoporosis risk, bone metastases, screening recommendations, risk factors, and available treatment options.

Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people impacted by cancer!

Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor is hiring a full-time Oncology Counselor to provide compassionate counseling and support to individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, provide individual counseling, and help connect our community with vital support services.

We're looking for a licensed clinician (LLMSW or LMSW) who is passionate about supporting others and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Full-Time (32–40 hours/week)
In-person and virtual counseling
Based in Ann Arbor
