Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor CSC uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care. Education.

So everyone impacted by cancer receives the support they want and need at every phase of their experience. The Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor (formerly The Wellness Community of Southeast Michigan) provides free support, education and hope to all people touched by cancer. The Cancer Support Community (CSC) offers people a "home away from home" in a comfortable setting, and a chance

to connect with others who are dealing with similar cancer issues. All programs and activities offered at the center are free of charge, and include:

Support. Support groups are available for cancer survivors and their loved ones. All are professionally facilitated, and offer the opportunity to connect and learn from one another. Healthy Lifestyle. Stress management classes such as meditation, and exercise classes like yoga and tai chi can encourage relaxation and improved health. These classes meet weekly. Cooking classes teach nutritional information of benefit to people with cancer, while experimenting with new recipes. Workshops led by experts on a variety of topics provide opportunities to acquire tools, information about cancer, along with techniques to learn how to be an active participant in your cancer journey. Social Support. Social gatherings open to survivors and their loved ones offer a chance to enjoy camaraderie and friendship. We provide the space, you provide the conversation! Resource Referral. CSC maintains a library of information as well as help connecting with the resources you need.

For the past three years, Reiki has been an important part of our healthy lifestyle offerings, providing moments of relaxation and comfort for individuals impacted by cancer.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated Reiki practitioners, Deanna, Dona, Katie, Annie, and Ara, who have generously shared their time, compassion, and expertise with our community. Their commitment has helped create a welcoming space where members can find peace, reduce stress, and focus on their wellbeing.

THANK YOU for making the Sprout Love Summer 5K such an incredible success! 🌱💚

Thanks to the collective efforts of our volunteers, participants, sponsors, and vendors, we welcomed over 130 participants and raised over $9,600 toward our goal to support the Sprout Love Initiative at Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor. 100% of the proceeds help cover basic living expenses for individuals experiencing financial hardship due to cancer and its treatment.

From every step taken to every donation made, your support helped grow hope, connection, and community. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this event so meaningful and memorable.

Can’t make it to the Sprout Love Summer 5K? You can still help us cross the finish line! 🌱💚

We are so close to reaching our goal of raising $10,000 for the Sprout Love Initiative of the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor. Established in 2018, Sprout Love provides support for necessities such as rent, utilities, groceries, car payments, auto insurance, childcare, and more, aiming to prevent significant financial hardship. Every donation, big or small, helps provide hope, support, and community to those who need it most.
