Burn Ban in Effect**

Collin County Commissioners Court has implemented a mandatory 90-day outdoor burn ban, effective Aug. 25, due to prolonged dry conditions and increased wildfire risk.

Here’s what neighbors need to know:

• City of Anna: Open burning within city limits remains restricted and regulated under the City of Anna Code of Ordinances.

• Unincorporated Collin County: All outdoor burning is prohibited, including trash, brush piles, leaves and open fields.

• Grills & Smokers: Enclosed grills, smokers and barbecue pits are permitted. All flames, embers and coals must remain fully contained within the device.

Please use extra caution during these dry conditions and help prevent wildfires in our community.

Traffic Alert 🚨

We are currently working a major accident involving a semi-truck and trailer.

Northbound US 75 traffic is currently shut down. Motorists are being directed to exit at Rosamond Parkway.

Please avoid the area if possible and expect significant delays while emergency crews work the scene safely.
