Below is 2026 IVFA State Miss Flame - Ella Deanās report given to the IVFA at the August Quarterly Meeting.
Hello everyone, for those who donāt know me, I am Ella Dean your 2026 State Miss Flame from District 5 and the Argos Fire Territory. I am very grateful to be given this opportunity to represent the IVFA for the next year. To me wearing this crown and sash is not only an achievement, but a great honor. Today marks 59 days since I was crowned on June 18th, and I have visited 8 out of the 25 districts and have attended 23 events. I started on June 27th attending the Argos Summer Kickoff Festival Parade and Bremenās Smokehouse at the Festival. On July 1st I spoke on the WTCA radio station about convention and my future plans. On July 4th I traveled to District 18 to Carter Fire District for Daleās Celebration of Americaās 250 Parade. On July 18th I was back in District 5 for the Culver Lakefest Parade. I worked in the Argos Fire Territoryās booth at the Marshal County fair from July 18th through July 24th. While being at the fair I attended nightly Touch a Truck with Argos, Bourbon, Lapaz, Polk, Plymouth, and Bremen fire departments. On July 20th I attended a fundraiser called āBooms for Bourbonā to benefit Bourbon Volunteer Fire Departmentās firework show. I spoke with the Pilot Newspaper and WNDU News channel on July 21st. I attended the District 9A meeting at 12 Mile Fire Department on July 23rd. On July 24th, I had lunch with the State Fire Marshal and members of fire departments in District 5. I traveled back to Carter Fire District for their 100th year open house on July 25th. I visited District 3 on July 27th and attended the Bass Lake Festival Parade. On July 28th I attended the District 6 Meeting at LaOtto Fire Department. August 8th has been my busiest day so far. I started the morning in District 8B at Pennville Fire Department for their Biscuit and Gravy Breakfast. I then traveled back to District 5 to attend the Bourbon Summerfest Parade. That evening I was at the State Fair in the Indiana Department of Homeland Security booth with Jerry Liston. District 5 had their meeting on August 9th at Roann Fire Department. On August 13th, I attended the District 1 meeting at Lake Ridge Fire Department. My most recent event was last night when I visited District 19 to attend Drewersburg Volunteer Fire Departmentʼs Pork Chop Dinner. By attending these 23 events I have traveled 2,424 miles around the state! My future plans start on August 19th I will attend the District 10 meeting at Clay Township Fire Department. On August 22nd I will be in District 21 for Rossville Volunteer Fire Department Pancake Breakfast. That evening I will be at Foraker Fire Department for their Fish Fry. On September 5th I will be back in District 6 for Ligonierās Marshmallow Festival blue light Parade. And the event Iām looking forward to the most is my Districtās Marshall County Blueberry Festival Parade on Labor Day. Attending that parade with me will be my Runner-Up Morgan Davis from District 15. Miss Congeniality, Taylor Brown from District 7. Gracey Wilson from District 1, Skilynn Scalf from District 3, Isabelle Dunlap from District 4, Mallory Hudson from District 8B, and Leila Hosfield from District 21. September 10th is District 5ās meeting at Milford Volunteer Fire Department. The last event on my list for now is in District 15 at Lynnville Volunteer Fire Department for their Open House on September 12.
