If you happen to be at the Bluejay game tonight and notice a Yutan ambulance hanging out, it’s because our awesome mutual aid partners have loaned us a squad while we work to get our newest ambulance into service after a recent accident. Thanks Yutan Volunteer Fire Department!

After tonight's monthly business meeting we had the honor of hosting Cassie Metzner and Rachel Hall. Cassie is Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools Athletic Trainer and Rachel is with Edge Therapy & Wellness out of Saunders Medical Center.

These ladies refreshed some of our seasoned providers and helped introduce some new faces on techniques to use in the event we would be needed on the field.

Thank you to Greenwood Fire & Rescue for joining us as well, as you will see them along side Ashland some Friday nights!

8 years ago today on July 27th Ashland Rescue became credentialed as Advance Life Support capable. To our community that means we have members capable of assisting in the more serious situations, where before we would have to call for another department who had those capabilities.

As of today we have 6 volunteers who have Advanced Life Support capabilities with the rest of our entire department being EMT certified. Our part-time paid personnel have at least 1 ALS provider and 1 EMT, Monday through Friday.

Our ALS endeavor was spearheaded by Paramedic Mike Meyer, RN Renae Hart, EMT Chad Hart, AEMT Tiffany Alcorn, and AEMT Heather Kennedy (all are pictured below).

Thank you for being part of our journey!
