For all emergencies call 9-1-1 immediately to be connected to emergency services dispatcher. The Harrison Township Fire Department has been in existence in 1883. It has evolved over the decades into a full service,

all hazards public safety agency providing fire suppression, prevention, investigations, and education; technical rescue; emergency medical services; and public education, relations, and community outreach and involvement. The Harrison Township Fire Department is committed serving the needs of the residents and visitors of Harrison Township, the Village of Ashville, the Village of South Bloomfield, Walnut Township, Muhlenburg Township and large portions of Madison Township and Jackson Township. Additionally, The Harrison Township Fire Department is committed to serving the needs of surrounding communities through mutual aid. In its current form, The Harrison Township Fire Department employs 1 Fire Chief, 3 Captains, 3 Lieutenants, 10 Full-Time Firefighters, 16 Part-Time Firefighters and 1 Part-Time Fire Safety Inspector. The Fire Department also includes a support staff consisting of a secretary, Public Information Officer, and a Chaplain.

Alright folks do we have some exciting news for you. September 11th, 2026 from 4p-11p we will be working with Kelli Jo's Sports Bar. We are planning a Firefighter guest bartend. We have some other exciting things in the works for this event as well, we just need to work out the details. Please stay tuned for additional information.

Over the weekend we welcomed little James and his family from Cincinnati and his Aunt and Uncle and Cousin from here in Ashville to our Station. He had some great questions and we talked about all the things that firefighters do during their shift. James, thanks for coming to see us!
