ATTENTION ATHOL RESIDENTS!

Chestnut Hill Avenue will be closed on Friday due to ongoing excavation work by ETL contractors. Progress has been slower than anticipated due to challenging ground conditions, and the work has not advanced far enough west to safely keep the roadway below open during operations.

This closure is necessary to ensure public safety, as there is a risk of rocks and debris traveling downhill during the excavation process.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work continues.
