Midway Elementary OFFICIAL page of Midway Elementary. Located in Alpharetta, Georgia Mr. Hoke S. Spence served as the school’s first principal.

Midway Elementary opened to 310 students in 1961 as a consolidation of both Bethelview and Brandywine schools. Bethelview's four-room building was no longer suitable for use, while Brandywine School was destroyed in a fire. Prior to the opening of Midway, the students from these two schools were bussed to Sharon Elementary. Since its opening, Midway Elementary has had six additions and renovations to its campus. The school is named after the community in which it is located, which received its name because it was half-way between Cumming and Alpharetta.

Midway's first grade students had an unforgettable adventure during their Colonial Days In-House Field Trip! They traveled back in time to experience what life was like during Colonial America through hands-on learning and interactive activities.

Students became little colonists for the day as they explored how children long ago lived, learned, worked, and played. Through engaging experiences, our young learners gained a deeper understanding of history while having so much fun bringing the past to life! We are so proud of our first graders for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to step into history! 💙💛

As you're visiting the building for parent conferences, be sure to stop by the Little Lending Library located at the front of the school. This special addition to our campus was created by Siddarth K. as part of his Eagle Scout Project with Troop 457. 📚

Take a book, leave a book, and help us celebrate a love of reading while supporting this wonderful service project. We hope you'll check it out during your visit! 📚💙💛

Midway was honored to welcome Mr. Ricky Burnette from Central EMS as part of the Forsyth County Chamber's Principal for a Day program. We enjoyed sharing our Leader in Me culture, student leadership, classroom learning, and even introducing him to Lilly, our therapy dog. 🐾
Thank you, Mr. Burnette, for investing your time in our school and for supporting the partnership between education and our local business community. We are grateful for community leaders who take an active role in learning about and celebrating the great things happening in our schools every day. 💙💛
