Give a warm welcome to our new staff member, Betty Hernandez! Welcome to Grisham!

I’ve been with RRISD since 2011 (Canyon Vista, Stony Point and my latest position was Attendance Specialist at Deerpark Middle School. Prior to coming to RRISD, I worked at VISD in Victoria, TX at middle schools as Registrar and Attendance Clerk.

My hobbies include doting on my 4 grandchildren -ages 25, 21, 15 and 10 who keep me young. I have a son (48) and daughter (46). As I typed those ages, it really made me feel a little old. LOL. I also like traveling, reading, antique shopping, baking and most important - enjoying life to its fullest. "

Give a warm Grizzly Welcome to our new staff member, Noel Khine! Welcome to Grisham!

Get to know Noel: "I immigrated to the United States when I was 13 after living in Dubai, Singapore, and the Philippines, and I’ve been living in Texas ever since, splitting my time between Austin and the Rio Grande Valley. Working my way up the ranks, I became an employee trainer, where I discovered a love for teaching people. I transitioned into the field of education by starting as a substitute teacher. I then became an instructional aide before becoming a Math and Special Education teacher. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, video games, comic books, and going to concerts. I also love hanging out with my dog Tadashi, and my nephews and nieces. I’ve been in education for 7 years now and I’m looking forward to continuing my career here at Grisham."
